It's crazy what the average guy can do to these cars, in his own garage with basic tools & bolt on mods.
Now that stock car will need tire & suspension upgrades in a hurry!

Exactly what I was thinking, great blower but I wouldnt want to take it to its full potential without a minimum of upgrading the rods.

I spoke to Joe at vmp while at tx2k last weekend about it but for my cobra, and that seemed to be his feeling. This new blower is just nasty but the 2.3 on e85 already maxes out my stock shortblock

I would say the Gen 3 is not a true bolt on if you have to upgrade rods to max it out. Now the Gen 2 and 2R on e85 that’s nasty. Now Gen 3 on 2.6 or 2.8 you would still be great I would think with stock block.

Well not necessarily tho cause pretty much any single or TT kit out there can make more power then any stock short block can handle and their all bolted on just like blower kits are and if one wants to go faster they can simply turn up the boost just as one could swap the pulley here.

Sure the Turbo setup is easier to make those adjustments from but even a built motor with basic upgraded rods will have their limits on HP unless one goes with a better rod like a billet one and put some sleeves in their block.

So I say its bolt on cause it has a pulley size that will max out ur current combo and if u want to make more hp then u will have to build ur motor to support it but all u have to do it put a smaller pulley on it now. Thats about as bolt on as ur gonna get.

Those are good points, I guess we’re gonna have to wait and see once people start messing with them and I am still curious to see if they will offer a 2.4 and how much boost that will make?? Definitely a great bolt on for the 91 octane crowd.

I guess the main benefit is gonna be going faster at the same boost level. What it does at 20+ lbs its really that relevant.

Install of a blower kit is much simpler than a turbo kit install.

Let’s say someone is making 660 rwhp on a 2.4 he could do that same thing with say a 2.8 or 3.0 pulley while dropping boost.

This blower is pretty exciting.

Cant wait for VMP to release it for the Coyote and 18+ platform.

Going to be NASTY when paired with the rifle-fire 10r80. Mmmmm Hmmmm!

How are you liking the 2018 vs your modded Gt500?

Have only had the chance to drive the 18 home from dealer... work has been crazy. Ill put some miles on her this weekend.

Initial thoughts are that the new coyote is STRONG and revs and revs and revs. The power doesn't stop pouring on.

Trans in drag mode is incredible. It'll bark the tires on shifts.

Technology is awesome... Sync3 is far and away better than original Sync on my 2011 FX4 F150. Love apple car play. Love track apps. Love drive modes (not available on base model.. must get 301a or premium).

The base cloth seats are GREAT. Huge improvement over s197 base seats.

Obviously does not have the brute power of my old Shelby--yet.

Oh wow wasn't aware u got an 18. good for u! Yea my leather seats suck lol that is quite an awesome platform u got there. with the new VMP setup, a fuel system, basic suspension mods and a decent tire with some E85 and u would have a 9 second DD.

pretty freakn awesome what little it takes to go fast now and finally stock motors can handle absurd amounts of power now. great time to own a Mustang.

Holllyyyy balls. I want so bad. If I wasn't so dedicated to my notch i'd be more interested in picking up a Shelby.
