Hard to say this thread seems a bit dead. No one wants to say anything and be labelled a racist for calling out actual racists.

That's because everything on race is deleted. Why waist time writing anything. All I'm going to say is Zimbabwe.

Sounds like an ideal place to colonize with factories. I can't imagine land or labor being expensive, with all the shanty towns filled with people looking for purpose. The expenses associated with exporting to the US, should be lower than dealing with China, as the distance is shorter, you would think.

Pull an Amazon/Apple and provide in house healthcare, if your feeling generous.

Except the cheap labor will have long since starved to death.

Thinking 45 could dispose some of our aging nukes over South Africa. Once the dust clears, digs some pools and get some solar powered AC going. Think of all the space for off roading. Maybe an indoor racetrack? It'd be a hell of a vacation destination.

Looks like they voted, with a pretty heavy margin... in favor of it! It is now being reviewed by a board for Constitutionality which they have to get back by August. If it made it through their Parliament or whatever their system is, I suspect it will make it through this board as well. I hope this backfires badly.

I'm confused. You guys are all for "taking back America" (I still don't know who it needs to be taken back from), but you're mad about South Africans taking back their country? If it backfires, so what? What ties does South Africa have with the U.S. economy? Is the dollar going to plummet if a few South African farmers lose their land? How does it even affect any of y'all one bit? I swear, y'all dig up some of the most insignificant issues [e.g., stuff that has ZERO bearing on your lives] and try to turn it into a grand travesty against all you hold dear. Stay in your lanes and worry about stuff that can actually affect your livelihoods.

Yes. To answer your question it will affect the US economy. We actually take in a lot of agricultural goods from South Africa believe it or not. So, if a territorial Civil war would break out, similar to what is happening in North Central Africa, then yes it will have an effect on the US economy.

Here are a list of just the top 10 goods exported to the USA from South Africa..

  1. Gems, precious metals: US$14.9 billion (16.7% of total exports)
  2. Ores, slag, ash: $11.3 billion (12.6%)
  3. Mineral fuels including oil: $10.6 billion (11.8%)
  4. Vehicles: $9.8 billion (11%)
  5. Iron, steel: $6.1 billion (6.8%)
  6. Machinery including computers: $5.4 billion (6%)
  7. Fruits, nuts: $3.4 billion (3.8%)
  8. Electrical machinery, equipment: $1.8 billion (2%)
  9. Aluminum: $1.8 billion (2%)
  10. Beverages, spirits, vinegar: $1.4 billion (1.5%)

There's nothing of consequence on that list that can't be manufactured/farmed/mined right here in the U.S., except for gems and precious metals. Aren't we supposed to be all about creating jobs HERE in the U.S.? If anything, this is an opportunity for the "little guys" here in the States to spool up operations and fill in the gaps.
