I was watching this live tonight on Barret-Jackson, and could not believe the price this 2017 Ford GT went for. It was for charity, but still a crazy price...

Those charity auctions get crazy. I don’t think it sets the value for the FGT though.
It’s like the first GT500 went for 500k at B-J several years back... money went to charity.

Holy freakin' gwac-a-moley, that's a lot of ka-ching!

I tried staying up for this particular sale but fell asleep so thanks for posting. Looks like it was a lot of fun for the crowd!

There are some seriously well-off people in that crowd. I watched for hours today and many cars went for over $100k. That's a lot of expendable income. People must be really feeling good about the Trumpster's impact on the economy!

I saw that last night, too. Unreal! And yeah, a lot of cars sold for big money. Money was flowing like crazy, setting records. Thanks in large part to a healthy economy.

That was a super fun auction, entire crowd was standing for the GT. This is now the 3rd one that I know about to sell for 2+Mil. I expected it to go higher due to the tax write off though

John cena probably going to have to pay the amount he made and just get back what he paid for the car. Also losing ties with Ford.
If I own a car and decide to sell it, I will sell it. I'm not sure how anyone can control what a person does with their personal possessions.

Its pretty simple, its a contract... Dont like it dont buy it. I can appreciate what Ford did to eliminate sleaze on a car that was for the true fans
