Anyone else frustrated with Ford over the next GT500?

Wow that’d be a sight to see

Yea, man. Makes shopping and comparing very easy. When I am thinking about a new car, I go up there and walk around the lots while they are closed.

Well an “auto mall” isn’t nessecarily owned by one group or owner. ... It’s really just an area where a lot of dealerships are located.

This is true... but most of the dealers at the Chantilly Auto Mall are owned by the same 3 families, which is pretty mind blowing.

I mentioned it because its the closest I've seen to car shopping the big three in one place. They are all next too each other in a giant loop.

I can definitely see where that would be convenient.

I remember thinking it was cool when we were shopping between grand Cherokee’s and explorer’s.

We were test driving the jeep and told the salesman we still wanted to drive an explorer before we made our final decision. “No problem” he said and had us drive down the street to the ford dealer and promptly took us for a test drive in an explorer sport.

Pretty easy to make a good decision when you step right out of one and into the other one.

I bought 3 cars in 1 year from this dealer, totaling $ 148,000. Explorer sport, Escape titanium, Raptor. I got the 350R the same year except different dealer, otherwise 4 cars at 215K. I will only get the GT500 in '18. Maybe not even that.

A wise man, on page 64, once said: Is it January yet?

I'm not in the market for this car but I will be one day. I can't wait to see the new bells and whistles and hopefully they'll get improved upon by the time I am ready.

Just means they ware the hell out of the S550 and then bring a mustang that will be all electric in 2025. So, in essence, the last mustang I'll buy will be this next GT500
Maybe the 350R will be the last i get

My instinct tells me not to believe a word of that article, except maybe the firing of development engineers. And my instinct has so far never been wrong. There were some wordings in the article that made it seem like the writer had/has an agenda. Or he could've actually been told that, but it was just something to throw people off the sent of the upcoming Mustang. We shall see.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting a new platform until 2025. Anything sooner would be out of character for Ford with regards to the Mustang.

Fact: It's ridiculous to say anyone is wrong at this point seeing how nobody has any legitimate proof whatsoever.

This is supposed to be forum for sharing information. God forbid if different people get different information from different people that doesn't match, especially on a project of this magnitude and importance to FMC. This should be a given and it should also be a given that until an official announcement, we really don't know what information is correct or incorrect.

Man, the crazy thing here is that I've tried to save you from yourself a bunch of times in this forum, but you are obviously a serious glutton for punishment.

Basically everything you have ever posted is not just wrong, but virtually the exact opposite of the truth. Most of it literally had no basis in reality. Ever. They were never working on the stuff someone was telling you they were working on. I can't tell you why someone would tell that to you, it's super weird. But you won't have to take my word for it much longer.

As for the article above, I'll just say this: it's a new world. Everything is subject to change. That includes some of the stuff some people in this thread have seen, and a lot of stuff you will now never see. That's not necessarily new, but the volume of changes and speed at which they will happen is.

My overall thought is wait and see. There are some good things happening due to change, and some things that are, uh, not so good. That said, in the words of Mike Tyson, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth...I'll believe a lot of this stuff when I see it.

The timing between the 4th, 5th, and 6th gen Mustangs have been 10 years. Before that... some were 7 and some were 13... I thought it was a little early to talk about the 7th gen when gen 6 needs 2 or 3 more refreshes.

Your right but it was eagerly anticipated by many and the fact that it was only 4 years away was icing on the cake. The s650 was supposed to be lighter, smaller more geared to be a sports car. Disappointed we may never see it with a gas engine, or at all.
We'll see how it plays out. Hopefully it has no bearing on the upcoming GT500.
