Who has driven a 13/14 GT500 and a 16/17 GT350?

Which car?

You really think a twin turbo gt500 woud cause the older blower car to go up? I'd bet 50 bitcoins that it wouldn't, people thought the 350 would make them go up in value... Don't forget 99% of buyers only care that its the latest model.[

I think it is a possibility and besides, the 2013 was the last GT500 Carroll Shelby had a hand it. It gives the 13/14 exclusivity that the new GT500 won’t have. But who knows. I am just ready to see the new one.

Raw feeling junk in the trunk and instant power for me please.

I'll take a side of that too.

OP.. this topic has been beat to death.

The GT350 is a more refined, better car just like every "next evolution" model of car typically is. Next gen recaro seats, latest and greatest Coyote genre of motor (these are amazing motors), looks killer, revs to the moon (although soft down low and rather meh), and sounds unbelievable.

The Trinity GT500 was Ford's pinnacle of supercharged performance in 2013. With a tune and some drag radials it will give you a "holy shit" moment every time you drive it. It is brutal shit-eating grin power that doesn't get old. To make things better, you can make it a 140 mph car for under $5k.

I've driven both. They both are a waste of money. Your money is better spent on a Camaro.

Very good question. I am just curious how the new GT500 is going affect the prices of the 13/14. If they do go twin turbo (which I suspect) I can see this driving up the price of the 13/14s. Now might be the best time to pick one up.
Wouldn't be amazing if it's the opposite and they start going for under $30K with low miles? WIN...

Had them both at the same time. I was massively disappointed in the GT350 when it comes to acceleration. Then, I realized it could corner and it became my favorite car to drive. Sold the GT500 about 6 months ago.

Stock for stock, the GT350 will never pull as hard as hard as the GT500, and the GT500 will never keep up with a GT350 on a technical road course.

You can mod both to be better at their weak points, but I am not a fan of modding numbered and limited production cars.

I’ve owned both. Both are amazing machines built for different roles. Just my opinion but the 500 is all in a bit better! If I had to pick one again to buy it would be the 500 all day long.

First impression driving my '14 GT500 last year.

Pros:
-Comfortable, solid driving experience
-Handles like it's on a rail- best out of any Mustang I've owned/driven
-Excellent street manners

Cons:
-Whoever picked these stock tires should be booted from SVT - great for just driving around, but God forbid you try to put any power down with them
-Same goes for that awful over-center spring on the clutch pedal
-Acceleration isn't very "snappy" due to gearing, no lack of torque though
-Head unit is garbage- my old Mach 460 system was much better

Virtually everyone I speak to about the GT350 say it's a much better "drivers car" than the GT500. I do miss the neck-breaking feeling that my old '00 KB'd GT (3150lbs w/ cage, no driver) had with 4.10s and NT555Rs. Slowly rolling onto the highway and stomping it made traffic look like it was standing still. Maybe with 3.73s or 4.10s and sticky tires the GT500 could reproduce that feel, but the extra 850lbs aren't helping.

I've driven the GT350, 12 GT500 and 14 GT500 and I like the 500s much better. GT350 was more like a luxury car on the street. The 500s are more raw (nothing like my cobra tho) 350 has no low end tq you have to ring it out to get it going (I like instant power for the street) The 500s sound much much better. Supercharger sound and better exhaust note IMO. But GT500s are a clear winner for me (they are closer feeling to my cobra which Is probably why I like them more than the 350)

Friends with two people who have both. Both like the GT350 better. I considered it but would rather have a Viper.

Nobody will argue with that, lol!

I've never neither of them, but I'm all over the GT350. Fantastic piece of machinery.
But I really do wonder if the GT350 is more fun than a GT500 on the street.. Track, no doubt.

I have driven both, and own a 2013 GT500. I did the GT350 Track Tour at Pocono in 2016 and got the full track experience in a 2016 GT350 R. Having driven the R on the track at the wheel for 2 laps and then being driven by a professional driver for the same, nothing sticks to the track like that car did. I was blown away at the handling and braking capabilities of the car. BUT, it did not have the raw power and torque of my 13 GT500. Something about that supercharger whine and brutal torque of the 5.8 that cant be beat, and still is more than capable on the track and perfect for anything on the streets.

Like most have mentioned above in posts, are you just cruizin around and want to blow the doors off of most cars next to you on the street or do you want to have a car that takes the off ramps at 100 mph with ease ? Tough choice, wont go wrong either way.

But have those people modded the GT500s? The stock GT500 to me is like a stock Cobra--SO much potential with just a few bolt ons.
