So not really sure where to start. Picked up a GT350 a few weeks back with a few mods already done and one big mod that needed installed. Its a white stripe delete 2016. Car currently has a complete kooks longtube and 3" catback installed, a set of project 6gr 19x11 305x30zr19 fronts and 19x12 325x30zr19 rear wheels, jlt cold air kit and a tune. In current form the car makes 500 whp N/A. The car came with a almost new 2.9L whipple kit uninstalled.

Now heres where things are gonna get interesting. I have 2 options with this car.
1.) Install whipple kit and throw a fuel system on car stop at 850 whp ish range.

2.) Sell the whipple kit and throw a set of twin turbos on the car add the fuel system, clutch, and maybe a few other mods.

Question is should I just be happy with a nice 850 whp ish car or should I go smash the procharger gt350's stock motor numbers? I feel like its pretty easy to do this and wouldnt take much to get this done. Ive already kind of made my mind up and spoke with a few shops about the build. Things fell into place very quickly and Ideal Performance and Auto out of Eagan Mn. have asked to be the headliners in this build. Jason Sieling and Carl Holmes Jr. want to build a complete turbo kit for the car and help me achieve the highest stock motor gt350 goals, Nathan Stiff came thru with a sick ass complete fore fuel system, Chris Belleperche has stepped up and offered me some of the needed parts to hold the power(Mcleod RXT, eboost2 controller, and anything else that pops up), and the rest of it will just be a time and money issue.

I certainly would not push that motor past 850 whp so just throw the Whipple on. I prefer Turbo but not with stick shifts.

but if ur lookn to set some HP records I don't see u doing it with a 2.9 Whipple.

I didnt see anything about a built short block

Even the trinity wont live at 850rwhp for long. Voodoo will grenade before you can make the first payment on the car.

But if your serious get rid of the whipple, throw some twins on it, use only race fuel, a meth kit and make sure your tune is spot on.

As of right now, the poll shows 100% agreement towards the turbo setup--I agree! What are the plans to hold the power long-term?

I don't seem to read people doing gears on these cars - with all I read about the lack of bottom-end, long gearing, and high rev'ing, you'd think a bump in gears would make it a better daily. ??

If it's as lazy as people say down low, id want the whipple. But then again, id leave it stock if it were mine.

They are lazy.

I still vote tt because it would be badass!

If you have a good $30k to invest in the turbo setup then do it. I'd only do it if I had the coin to cover all the shit that may come up being a test mule. Like custom fab, fuel, odds and ends, possibly a blown engine.

There is a guy who was running around at 900hp for a while and recently bumped it to 1030.

He is shooting for 1100.

I think these engines are way stronger than anyone gave them credit for.

stock block terminators with TTs and good fuel can make 1,000rwhp on a dyno as well.

Unfortunately making a couple dyno runs has nothing to do with what power level the motor will live at long term.

You're crazy if you think a 8,000rpm, 12:1 compression NA motor will live for long under 20#s of boost.

Im not sure whats the point of buying a GT350r and turning it into a straight line monster. That defeats the whole purpose of the car. Its not like you're gonna hot lap at laguna seca with 1,000rwhp.
