We've all got them....what's the biggest regret of your life?

Mine - Not communicating with my Wife enough before we both stepped out. Although it's made our relationship completely amazing and connected us on a level I'd never imagined I wish we had never lost touch in the first place.

What say you?

I struggle with the idea of regret. It put me where I am today, which is a pretty sweet deal. Have an amazing wife, really good kids, and a comfortable lifestyle.

If there is anything I might regret, it's not being as good to my wife at times as I should be. I don't beat her, I don't call her names, etc, but I get angry about stupid shit. The song She Loves Me Like Jesus is a perfect way to describe my wife. I Sometimes wonder if I even deserve her.

Dear Diary
Cool story brah

Not a lot of regrets, except maybe not laying the wood to a couple of women, back in the day. As usual, I sometimes think about them, then I laugh about them and quickly forget about them.

As I get older, I realize that regrets are a waste of time. What's done is done, and dwelling on it really only wastes time and sets you in a downward spiral. Consider them lessons learned and move on.

I've hit rock bottom before and spent years regretting decisions that ultimately set me in a better direction. Had I not made poor long-term decisions when I was younger, I never would have moved across the country, acquired my dream job, and met my wife.

The famous Buddha quote goes :"Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." The same applies with regret- it's being angry at yourself. No winner there.

That reminds me of what was said in the Gumball Ralley when the guy rips the rearview mirror off and says what is behind us is not important.

"the first rule of Italian driving... whats-a behind me is-a not important!!"

lol awesome quote

edit: oops you guys are quick

Two ways to view bad decisions - with regret, or as an opportunity to learn something. The first one is a waste of time.

Most of my regrets involve women. Some I should have tried to hold on to and others I should have never slept with.

Many regrets. I'll give you this one. When I was in the Navy we were in Hong Kong for a week. I went out with my shipmates and we hit some bars. Ended up at this one place. Got along with the girls we met. Got along great with this one chick. Made arrangements to hook up the next day. But being the 20 something year-old I was at the time I flaked and went elsewhere the next day. Bad mistake. I was lambasted by my Navy buds the next day because they showed up to meet the girls. Turned out the girl I was supposed to meet lived up on Victoria's Peak in a palatial estate overlooking Hong Kong Harbor with maids and butlers and security. Found out her father was Vice President of Asian Operations for Exxon. FML. But you move on....

Have a few, though I'll share two.
Biggest regret, not being able to go to my grandmother's funeral. Due to medical reasons. It's still haunts me to this day; Still hard to talk about.
Second, not being able to go to my Cousin's wedding. Medical problems again. Still get frustrated about it.
