If it's what you really want I wouldn't let 1-2k stand in my way. Unless it will hurt your pocket books. These cars values seem to be going up and they are getting harder to find clean ones.

Are you getting a loan? Or is this a cash purchase? Non of my business but if cash maybe you could try 25k cash walk in there see what they say.

I say it depends on you and your financial situation. If the car is in that great of shape and it is exactly what you want and you will be happy living with the purchase price I say go for it.

On the other hand, if memory serves me I think Black is the color most Cobra's were produced in. So, black is the color with the most pool to choose from. Therefore, you might be better off looking a little longer.

Granted it's a roll of the dice. You could find a better one at a lower price or you might get stuck with one in worse shape for a better price.

I bought a silver Vert last year with 75K on the clock. I only paid 15K plus TTL. I needed to put some elbow grease into it as it needed some TLC, but now I have a great Cobra and did not have to spend a lot of money for it. There are deals out there if you look and have patience.

So, the question is are you willing to wait for the bigger better deal or do you strike now at the opportunity set before you? Only you can decide that.

Good luck sir!!!!

I will probably wait it out and if the car is still there in a couple weeks I'll pull the trigger on it. Gives me time to look around. I guess it was meant to be if I end up buying it. Thanks for the opinions and advice! Really appreciate it

Did prices really go up this much in the last few years? I find it crazy and good at the same time. Mine is modded so I'd never get premium dollar for mine. I do have it valued at 31k.

Op if you plan on modding it, you will be in a lot of money. I have 6,500 dollars worth mod money and my car for the price they want on that one your looking at. Just don't buy it for an investment, or you might be disappointed.
This is another reason that keeps me from buying it. I would be in it a sh*% ton after mods etc. I have a lot of thinking to do these next couple days.

I have a loan through my own bank. They barely budged on price. Like Bdubbs mentioned, I would be in it a ton of money after mods and that's something I'll be thinking about.

Good luck be Patient and get what you want the first time. Try the market here. Coming from a 99 to this they don't even compare. I came from a 01.

Just buy the car if you like it if it's 2,000 dollars higher than you think it's just money you only live once if you can afford

If it's exactly what you want, pay the little extra and get it.

But there are tons of black terminators, probably a lot of them cleaner than that one. Usually black doesnt demand a premium. If you could hold off I'm sure you would find a much better deal.

Also, I don't see that car flying off the lot at that price. Let them sit on for a couple weeks and I'm sure they'll come down in price.

I don't think it's flying off the lot either. It's been there 53 days lol. I will prbly give it some more time and if I can't find anything I will go back and buy it. If it does work out that way it was meant to be I guess lol

The first person I talked to ended being the owner of the dealership. They just won't budge.

If you like the 10th extras like I did I would pull the trigger. I just so happen to come across my car and it was only 2 hours away so I could not pass it up. He was asking $27,500. I purchased the 10th interior (for another project but it ended up in this car) and the steering wheel to put on this car. I hate the suede seats so it was a must for the full leather. To me, nothing looks better than a clean black car!!!! I just had the car appraised with the mods and wheels and they put a value of $31,000 I believe.
curious if you told him it wasn't a real 10th anniversary.

He may not be able to come down in price and make any profit on the car. he wouldn't be the first clown to overpay for a Cobra and then be stuck with an over inflated price.

Why? He has mutiple people contacting him about the car (and thats just the ones OP is aware of). He probably thinks someones getting ready to jump even holding @ 26
he is also unaware that most, if not all, of that interest is the ops friends trying to see if he will make a deal. OP has probably shot himself in the foot as a result

Truth probably is the owner most likely paid too much for that car where ever he got it from. You would think he'd let it go with it being on the lot 53 days and counting. Thanks everyone for all the input.

The dealership might have to much money in that car from trade in. One reason why they might not budge on price. They don't want a loss.
Edit: Beat me to it op, in your comment above. My exact thoughts.

Yes, I disclosed everything I added to the car since purchasing. He was a car guy and his last name was Shelby Lol (no relation). He gave me some car show spots I could check out, he was a nice guy.
