What all is available for this little 5.2? Car runs great but leaves me wanting more power wise. It feels like a centri would be a perfect compliment. Anybody know where he various companies are at with production?

Lethal has a 2.9 Whipple kit. Boost works is almost finished with their TT kit and Procharger is in development for a Centri kit.

I mean externally the engine is very similar to the coyote right? Shouldn't the coyote stuff work for the most part?

I'm curious to see how much boost these guys can run on pump gas with the high CR engine?

My car made 497whp on 93 octane with:
SCT x4
JLT CAI
Lethal offroad midpipes
Custom tune by Adam at Rev Auto

Baseline stock power was 466whp.

Lethal had a thread going on their GT350 Whipple installation but the thread seemed to have died. Anyone know what the outcome was?

I believe they are waiting for a custom clutch to be built.
It's been like a month. I keep looking for that thread for updates on another forum.

I'm real interested in lethals kit, cant wait to see some more info on it. I wonder what it will be priced at since the whipple 2.9 for the 5.0 is around $7-$8k. mostly I just wish I could peak a few years into the future to see how the voodoo holds up to boost.

I would be very interested in seeing how a Pro-Charger will perform on a VooDoo. That engine had some accessory drive issues during development that the aftermarket may have to contend with.

Hopefully going procharger route. I'm truly worried about engine and trans strength tho. I guess time will tell.

Centrifugal blowers put less stress on the engine. They take less hp to turn than a Roots or TVS and don't produce anywhere near the amount of heat nor store it while sitting atop the engine. They also build boost with RPM instead of all at once. A Procharger would be interesting on the Voodoo.

The also produce the most lag, has non-existent part throttle response, makes the engine sound like a giant Hoover and require you blow thru half your rev range before they start to make any power. They are the least favored form of FI just try finding one on a Terminator or GT500.

Yeah they suck on low revving, low compression engines. High compression, high revving engines are another story. 8.5:1 compression is not optimal for a Centri. Coyote/Voodoo are more suited and the 140mph traps with Paxton/Pro-charger kits prove that. Centris just accentuate a given motors powerband. They are the most popular option on the modern 4v engines for sure.
