Any update on the latch hardware for these?
Interest check for GB for Racebronco heat extractor style hoods!

As a matter of fact I have a meeting today with the machine shop making them, to look at one finished. We felt the need to make a couple changes to strengthen this area. The original design worked just didn't feel it was stout enough to last over many hood closings. I hope everyone will appreciate all the work that has been involved by everyone who helped to get these available to us. I'm hoping I'll have one fitted by end of week/beginning of next. Then test with many hood drops......
I have one of the original fiberglass prototype hoods...I'll take pic of the latch we made for Ford.
Nothing good on my phone, I'll get some posted up about 6pm et.
Been closed hundreds of times so you'll get a good idea on wear marks.

I picked up the hood latch parts today and will start test fitting them tonight. Hopefully no adjustments will be needed and we can proceed with finished product shipped to steve in the next week or two based on machine shops schedule
Well I think with one adjustment we'll be good.
Closes nice with no slop.
You will have to change your safety latches spring to a lighter one. No doubt about it. And if you have hood struts you will have to put on the 56 lb ones. Instead of the factory 88 lb ones.
These were 38.00 shipped from mrt. Way too much pressure with factory ones on. And it's way to hard to try to close the hood with that factory spring on.

did you try this?, helped a ton with my factory hood. it closes with finger pressure now

Also wondering for any updates, I'll have my 2nd half of the deposit ready to go next time work lets me travel home. Hopefully in 2 or 3 weeks.
Yup. Hood latch mod was done last year when I got tired of doing the four foot drop!
ive been emailing carp. he's almost got this done. we couldnt have asked for a better person to handle this latch issue. he really figured it out well and what needs to be done. he's expecting to have some kits in his hands, to send to me, very soon.
i know a few of you have pm'd me about the balance. sorry i have not replied yet. i will asap. i didnt even want to take any more $ till i at least had this part done. that and ive been overwhelmed with other stuff im trying to get done. no other hoods have been shipped out and i havent sold any of the extras i have yet either. everything has been on pause until this has been finished up. but since we're about to get the latch issue figured out its time to start wrapping up balances and dealing with shipping etc... so ill get back on that. likely this weekend.
i want to get another order going too but i dont want to even do that until this is all settled and you guys are all taken care of.

a couple of the first hood latch kits are supposed to arrive tomorrow. we're going to put one on a hood and then on a car. should be good to go. hopefully we can get the rest out here to put on the hoods asap.
i will work on contacting those that have a balance still, or questions, as soon as i can. we have a big car show out here this weekend that im trying to get some stuff done for. on top of the usual way too much going on craziness lol

this is great news. im getting my parts list together do do some 1/2 mile runs and i think this should fit right in. like i said before just let me know when and i can pay in full at any time. looking forward to how the latch works out. thanks
