I've been avoiding getting hung up in e-bro cliques. Do you have to have an "in" with him to get assistance? Because from where I'm sitting, he has heretofore been about as helpful as a peanut husk. I've asked him twice or more to tell us all where to find these unicorn dealerships that are selling GT350Rs for MSRP or less. His responses have literally equated to "Do you know who I am?! You better ask somebody!" Seriously?

For the e-bros who clearly aren't getting it, which part of asking him for the info isn't considered doing research? :dw: In case you didn't know, "research" includes asking around for information, especially from those who purport to have/know of said information. All I need to know is the information on where I can get a GT350R at or below MSRP. I couldn't care less who he is. We ain't never going fishing or bbq-ing together. So why do I need personal details about him?

Where did I say you can easily get Rs at MSRP?

You sound as if you're a complete ass. It's very clear in this post you quote someone referring to the GT350 for msrp and you call bs.
Chris comes in and verifies that he knows 10 for msrp sales of GT350's.

And here you are still complaining. The look of the car is bad, ride height too high, shifter sucks, no performance stats. You can't stand the car but somehow you still want one. Not because you like it but only because you want a look at me look at me R version in which there are only what 300 made? And you don't even have the balls to pay for it(because there are more buyers than cars)?

Wow!

I've answered this post before. Yes it's above and you still sound like an ass. Your the spoiled child who didn't get his way now you're crying. But but Ben got his R at msrp....

+1.

It was said that you've helped move or know of 10 gt350's at msrp or lower, basically no adm's, a few days ago on one of these threads.

Somehow this was twisted into 10 gt350r's, and on that same post, gt premi even said something to the tune of "nobody cares about plain gt350's" while maintaining that you had helped with 10 R cars at msrp.

I'm not going to go dig through all this clutter to find it, but you never said R's. That would have caught my eye like diamonds left on the table I pick to sit at a chick filet.

You've been a great member and gone well beyond the extra mile for many members based on what I've seen over the years. There will always be that guy that says what he wants about the goto guy, especially if their memory is selective or they missed the events as they were unfolding.

In my opinion, there is good cause in being weary and there is a point where it becomes being rude. It's good to be weary, but gt premi is starting to take this into rude and distasteful.

It could now be extrapolated as calling you, and Tob dishonest. Tob is not in cahoots with you. You haven't done anything shady. This is based on what I have seen over the years. I say this because a simple search of your posts and activity, via the type of research someone should do if they are going to discredit or shame a member, would yield the proof needed to simply apologize and carry on tastefully.

As an outside 3rd party with no dealings on anyone's side, I wanted to take the time to vouch for all 3 of you based on what I've seen. If I had to put a number on it, I would say I recall at least 15 or so times where chris! helped either with a gt500 or gt350. I have never had poor dealings or unfair actions called on me by Tob. GT premi has usually always been well intended and a stand up member.

Another idea about negotiating a great deal with chris! would be to pm him with pretty specific wants, and desires and see what can be done. Asking it loudly in a public thread is distasteful as he is likely in current negotiations with clients and networks, and explaining out loud who and how could set the vultures right onto into his dealings. Some people are ethical, but a rich guy who doesn't mind a $5-10k adm could walk right into that dealers showroom and say "hey, you guys were moving cars at invoice? Here's $10k on top, I want that one today."

I know when I am helping customers on a busy day, I don't go running to the guy heckling me from the waiting room wanting a filet for a sirlon price.

I help the customer who has reached the front of the line and is seated-so to speak. I don't work at a restaurant but you get the idea. If Chris! were to tell publically who he is working with, and how, the people in que for great deals that have likely been in contact with him for month or a year now would likely get trampled on by a guy who wants a gt350/R and suddenly is ok paying $2-5k over when he walks into said dealership and see's they have allocation and are quietly moving them at or near msrp.

I would imagine that plays largely into why he didn't respond to your loud and incharge demands for proof.

I haven't pm'd chris! about a 350r even though I want one badly because it would be financially unwise for me to nab one up at this time. I have no shame admitting this. Leave the guy be, or pm him with a sensible message. Just quit attacking him on preconceived notions of speculative disapproval.

End rant.

Thank you for this. Much appreciated and pretty much spot on.

Where did I ask for GT350s at MSRP? Not once did I ask about a GT350. You offered up that info. As much as I was specifically asking about Rs, I assumed you were talking about the R because offering up information about a car I didn't even ask about makes no sense. Right?

How is asking him for information that he publicly boasted about considered an attack, much less an attack on his credibility?? I'm not going to perform a forensic analysis of members' post histories to find out whether or not they're a standup guy or to pick apart their character. I'll leave that nonsense for the more petty members here. People change and situations change. I make my judgements based on what is presented to me in a one to one interaction, not endorcements from e-bros standing vigil to parry anyone who even asks a simple question of one of their beloved e-bro clique members.

You publicly asked where to find a gt350 at msrp as seen below. You said people are lying about finding buying GT350 at msrp!

I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts those people are lying. They're just too embarrassed to admit they paid a markup because that is just plain stupidity. The only person I would believe got away with MSRP is treynor, and that's only because he has bought multiple cars assumingly from the same dealer; Cobra Jet, Boss 302S, GT350, GT350R, and working on picking up a GT350R-C.

They're cheap, light, give ability to adjust ride height without mods, and they work. It's not like they're using pickup truck leaf springs. What's debatable? Look at the handling. And in case you didn't know, GM uses those to achieve the Corvette's very low hood. There's no room for traditional springs and shock towers. Educate yourself before attempting lame Internet humor.

PS, I'm back in the game since you guys have attacked a new person.

he knows all of that. He's poking fun. I poke fun about the ohv and leaf springs all the time.

I poke fun at the s197's (and all earlier) solid axle, the catfish camaros 30 year old underpinnings, and the sn95/new edges pinto ancestry.

You'd be surprised how much people know. Just because they don't write it all out, doesn't mean they are ignorant.

This. Although everyone knows on the C5R/C6R/C7R they use a proper coilover instead of a reused recurve bow from the days of yore. :D

Didn't see the part about asking where to get a GT350 at MSRP, much less me wanting one. As per usual, your reading comprehension sucks badly. You keep quoting posts and don't even know what you're quoting. :nonono:

Here it is! You quoted this then said he was lying.

No it wasn't for the C7. There are plenty of people on this forum who paid MSRP or less for their GT350.
This was your response to GT350's at msrp:

After Chris said he knows of 10 350's being sold at msrp. Something you denied with the quote above!!
If you want I have the screenshot?

There was never a topic. An inconsistent driver one car with worn driver error brakes. There's no way for any comparison.

Right, but THAT is at least worth discussing more than who said what about whatever imaginary price they can or cant get a GT350 or R, or whatever for.

I think Tony told Mark to go **** himself which led Jill to dump Andrew and comfort Mark. This all started when GT premi started lamenting Torrey who is friends with Brad and then Josh told Torry that his camaro v6 is as fast as Trevor's 2010 mustang gt which get them fighting and since Trevor is Marks younger brother, Mark went and told Torry that he's got his back.

I seen it all with my own eyes.

Back to cars, the gt350r would shit all over a z51 loaded up like the test car in the car and driver comparison.

Same driver, same day, same track it would be very even lap times between the two cars. But the R has the advantage of PSC2's, which are somewhat better than the PSS for road course use.

It's interesting that the z28 was worshipped because it was faster than the z51. It has the trofeo which I've heard are 1 or 2 seconds faster than the cup 2 at Laguna Seca. On the same tire the trofeo it would seem that the z51 would be faster if not be as you as fast as the R.
