I never thought I’d be interested in an electric vehicle, but decided to give it a try and lease a 2015 Fusion Titanium Energi. I’ve had it just over 6 weeks and though it’s been cold (-10 to 30) most mornings, it still gets amazing fuel economy. With the heat, heated seats, and heated streering wheel on, it decreases the electric range, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it does in warm weather. I’m still on the tank of gas that was in it when delivered and have just over 850 miles on it. It looks like I should get about 1,000 miles on this tank… Now if I could only charge at work…

I can’t leave anything alone, so I’ve installed H&R Springs, Plastidipped the grille slats to get rid of some of the chrome up front, removed the Fusion and Energi badging off the doors, and tinted the windows (5% all but windshield, 35% entire windshield)

Thanks! I've never had anything with Steeda springs, but will say that these ride quite a bit better than my mom's Fusion with Eibachs. There are no Energi specific spring, so I purchased AWD springs since that is the AWD is heavier than a base Fusion.

Good looking ride! I can't believe the mileage you are getting, that is amazing. Do you plug in at home with 220?

I plug into a normal 120V wall outlet to charge. I have it set to charge through the vehicle on off peak hours so I plug in when I get home and it's charged when I wake up. Looking at my energy usage, it hasn't increased much and my bill is nearly the same.

That's good to hear, I always wondered if a PHEV would increase the electric bill. Probably a good idea you leased, I would be worried about maintenance/repair costs in the future.

What has the kwh increase been?

Dang I should have considered one of these when I bought my 14.

I had a 2014 Titanium EcoBoost that I sold to my mom. It had the same mods plus a Livernois tune. With the tune, it picked up quite a bit of power and the trans cal was awesome, plus... Fuel mileage was much better than stock.

With 90 miles to empty, I finally decided to get gas. I couldn't be happier with the car so far. With a mix of city and expressway driving, I averaged just over 72 mpg and got 1,047 miles on the tank of gas that was in it when the dealer delivered it. I'm excited to see how it does now that it's warming up!
