Valid point. IMO, turbos and centri cars both need an auto to really shine.

True and allot of people dont realize how much momentum you loose if you dont shift it right and when you loose forward momentum not only do you have to pull the other car but you have to make up what you lost. My 03 Cobra with 420 RWHP would go 117/118 if I shifted it fast but not killing it but when I wanted ti run the number it would run 121 with no other change other then driving it.

You guys set up these races and no one talks to or looks at the other persons car?

Definitely seemed like auto vs auto it would have been a better race. These are dark times for manual owners :C

The jumping around is certainly caused by the shifting, not nitrous. If he was running nitrous, why didn't it smoke any other time? Challenger guys have long complained about their new cars smoking, just saying. Good race either way.

thats not a stock hell cat... and who doesn't have drag radials with anything over 450 hp? lol

and that 8 speed auto is going to do that against a car that isn't power shifting.

Plenty don't run DRs. The white Hellcat that ran 11.0 didn't. Some people like to see how they can run it with the factory setup.

hard to compete with a good shifting trans that these hellcats have. Power to weight wise the mustang is stronger, do agree with others though shift it like a boss and you'd win that match up.

Similar HP but 1000 lbs less. My grandmother could've been shifting and it shouldnt've made a difference. Guys think logically. In order for the Hellcat to win this race, as to me it pulled the entire time it would need at least 780ish to the ground. Sprayed and thus the reason they're running race fuel and not 93. Dodge didn't make some 3rd timing parameter to allow for race fuel. It has total advance just like any tuner does, say 21*. It's not going to magically jump to 25-26* because it's not seeing knock, it's not built into the factory parameters. Or maybe Dodge has a magical ECU that can just add timing to whatever fuel is being used. If so the Hellcat would be a beast on 90% Nitro.

This is Jerrods car. The same one in ALL the other videos. Not once has this car ever had a nitrous charge thrown at it even after all the other cars its beaten. Now it beats a Paxton 5.Bro and its not stock?? Lmao

Think back to that hellcat vs the world video. How many races was that? You guys think he has a 100lb nitrous bottle back there? If he were running a shot he wouldnt have lost to the cars he lost to.

I personally told him if the Paxton was an stick shift he has a chance but if it were an auto he would lose. This race was lost completely due to slower shifts. It's painfully obviously in the video imo.

100%. That was the same thing that happened to me when I first brought my cobra to the track back in 2004. It only had a steeda cold air intake and borla stinger catback on stock street tires. 3800lb race weight. Regular shifting the car went 13.0 at 111. even got a 12.9. This was with a 2.3 60ft lol. Power shifting the car and a better 60 ft, the car went 12.32 at 116mph. Thats a lot of mph with better shifting.

Yep, the Challenger pulls every time the Mustang shifts. That auto does a great job of holding the car right in its wheelhouse.

You need a driver mod; but he sprayed your ass that last run.

Nah I have the driver mod, trust me. It's not me, it's the garbage mt82 and garbage stock clutch. So much as touch 7k rpms and clutch pedal is toast. I'm shifting at 7300 now with the Paxton. Only way to shift the car on stock clutch is by massaging it in each gear. Before the Paxton I went 11.8 at 115 with x pipe and tune which is quicker then the average joe from everything I've seen

This is true and I agree with all of what you said.
