They are a lot brighter, and instantly turn on. All V3 line have built in resistors. I have a video I will upload this evening. Can really see the difference

Tractionless1: How much did you have to take off the mounting ring tabs, to fit over the led mount? I didn't want to force the mounting ring over the led mount, as I didn't think that I could get them off again!!! I also got some aftermart headlights to replace my old stock ones. The mount rings on the aftermart headlights are smaller than the stock ones.

See post #63. If your mount rings are smaller try them first and adjust to fit.

Do the bulbs seal well on the housing? my biggest complaint with hid's has always been that the bulbs dont seal perfect and i end up with water in the fogs.

HID Kits?

What HID kit do are you guys running?

I picked up my SY Terminator back in January of this year, the HID's the car came with have been acting up. They were staying on even after the light switch was off, I replaced the fuse that the kit came with and last night the kit took a crap, when I washed my car and the wire started smoking. I immediately unplugged the HID wiring so as of right now I dont have front headlights.

Everything else is working fine its just the crappy kit the car came with, Ive purchased all of my HID kits from DDM Tuning and Ill prob get a new set from them again.

I was just curious what everyone else runs, I know some guys are going with projector headlights on their 99-04's but I think they just dont look right during the day, the headlights look like the car is crossed eyed or something.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've purchased all my kits from DDM as well and never had a problem. Well first bulb or ballast (don't remember which) went out on my sister's old neon after 7 yrs and 90k bumpy miles. For the price and quality, you just can't beat it. I think they've recently switched over to slim ballasts. Hopefully quality is still as good.
As far as LEDs go, it seems like the light output isn't as strong or far reaching from what I've read in most threads. I haven't seen them in person yet so I can't offer up a good opinion.

I would do the retrofits from a member on here and leave the stock reflectors in the housing. That way the eye doesn't stand out so much

Good job! You literally directed him to this very thread that he posted on... LOL...

I too want to see pics (prob won't do them justice) of the LED headlight bulbs in comparison to both HIDs and Halogen.

They were two separate threads when I originally replied. They have since been merged into one. ;)

Oh ya perfectly for me, I'd say tighter than my HID's were and they never had condensation.

McCullough is what I ran on my Cobra for the past 7 years without issue. I've also had 2 sets on my '00 GSXR750 for 11 years. You'll pay but also NEVER have an issue. FWIW I sold my Cobra set as the LED's are much better appearance wise.

Nice. Do you have any pics/vids of said LED's on your Cobra? I'd still like to see them... the other thread where the OP "retrofitted" his Cobra fogs with 2011+ LED fogs turned out GREAT!!

No worries, just messin'! :)

Has anybody gone with another brightness? The seller on ebay via the links you guys posted seems to be out of stock for the 9007s
