Yeah running E85 without a fuel system is asking for it IMO, your betting on the stock pump to be ramped up and like it.

I'll let you know how long my stock internals last though fellas, I'm just a crack over 700 and if they go they go but the key is to have the backup reserves to go forged if/when it breaks.

How's the whine on the Beefcake Paxton Special? I want a whiney supercharger if I ever get one. Is the AED tune a handheld tuner that came with the beefcake special or something else?? How are you able to run E85 if the car doesn't want that normally?

Also, how much boost is required to make decent performance but still be daily drivable?

There isn't really a "whine" from this blower, it sounds alot more like a turbo. Hell, it sounds like a jet engine from the front of the car when you're climbing the RPMs at full throttle lol.

An AED tune is a custom tune that gets loaded to your tuner and then uploaded to the car using the SCT flash tuner you can get with the kit.

The car has always been perfectly streetable to me when it was back on pump gas and the base pulley at 640 whp, all the way up to now at 776 whp and E85. You won't even notice the power until you romp on it. When I was at 640 on 91 octane, I was making 7.5 psi, and now at 776 on corn I make 10.1 psi, you just have to get on it to feel anything, otherwise it drives like stock.

And as for the E85 thing, the reason the car doesn't want to run that normally is because it requires either A: more voltage supplied to the stock fuel pump along with larger (or much larger with forced induction setups) fuel injectors, or B: a return style fuel system, injectors and a fuel pump made for E85. Technically our stock pumps and lines aren't made for long term (20k+ miles) E85 use.

Are you at all concerned about smoking the stock block?

With the centri blower units and their more "ramped up" power curve, it doesn't put quite as much strain on the rotating assembly, and with E85 almost completely negating detonation chance, the pistons aren't quite as much of a weak link in the motor anymore. Assuming a good tune, of course (AED ftw!).

I don't think some people understand how far a good tune and E85 can go. It can help a stock bottom end out tremendously.

Im more worries about the fuel pump failing more then the block but I guess if it fails the block might go as well hahaha, I have funds saved up for a fully built bottom. Just cant have any more down time at the moment until I buy a daily driver in the next month or so. I know it will last as long as I dont hammer it past 7k... E85 is a lot safer then California 91 octane!

Good decision, which one you gonna get?

Not 100% sure yet. I have some research to do and have to really think about my long-term goals for this car. I'm probably going to wait until January to do it and make it a winter project. Since I only have 5500 miles on the car, I may even pull the motor, sell it and do an Aluminator....Ugh I don't know. I never wanted to dig into this car so much but I can't help it. Its a sickness lol.

I was going back and forth with a VMP TVS, Twin turbo, and the paxton setup. Super happy with how the power come on with the paxton. Drives stock under normal DD but when u put the hammer down HOLD ON! Shaun at AED is a amazing tuner as well, hes spend a LOT of time with my tune and still to this day is tweaking it to make the drive even better.

I need to check into this! Wouldn't be too bad if thats the case as I could also keep some sealed in the car as well.

Yeah I've been tossing around the idea of an aluminator. You do all the research and you just want more power lol. I think I would rather sell my quads and use the difference from getting an aluminator to pick up one of those sweet Polaris rzr's.
