It's funny how I see some people flip flop on what they'd go with. All I gotta say is op do your research and choose accordingly to your tastes and goals.

Get 1 big JPC turbo, it will eat them twins for breakfast!

Really show me hard proof?

re

That's a real hard question to give easy numbers its all dependent on location , engine , supporting mods..

Just recently put down 750/600 wit paxton at 12.8 psi wondering how much boost im gone need to get there...and the torque is more then enough wit paxton

With turbos the same boost level will get you about 800/750 on race gas. 600ft/lbs only takes us about 8 psi on pump.

1000rwhp numbers can be done by twins or a single. What will become more important at that level is intercooling.

obviously I'm going to say Paxton, with a good fuel system, you have enough power to go 8's for quite a bit less $$

Beef definitely nothing against paxtons I even wanted one at one time but in the grand scheme of things how much price difference is there really when you have all the supporting mods ( fuel system , engine , tranny, suspension ) when your attempting go 8's ? When you get that far in it seems that the 3 -4 k difference doesn't weigh in as much as which power adder you prefer. But hey we all have preferences so that what makes the scene great not everyone is running the same thing if that were the case it would be boring!

3-4k is a lot of money though, that's a built engine.

I went 9.03 @ 3850lbs, a/c, back up camera, stereo, etc...

The car had a rear seat delete, tubular k member, lighter seats (more comfy than stock), and race star wheels. That was on the same 275 drag radial I drive on every day.

Same way I could hop in the car and drive it anywhere with 0 issues. Actually, I went 8.74 like that, but that was moving up to a ysi.

To run low 9's or high 8's. You'll need a fuel system no matter which power adder, you'll need a built engine, no matter which power adder. It comes down to the power adder cost being the only difference. if your saving 3 to 4k on the power adder, that goes along way. Just because someone has a budget of 10k with a built engine, fuel system and power adder, doesn't mean they have 13 to 14k...

Procharger that moves the same air than a paxton or Vortech it will cost around 3k more. You would need an f1 with their race intercooler.

if your looking for power potential, the vortech can make about 700rwhp, the Paxton can make about 1000rwhp.

if your looking for stock boost, the vortech works very well, a lot of people want the option for 1000, lol
