I sleep a whole lot better at night knowing SWAT teams are out there breaking down doors and shooting dogs to save me from a leafy plant. Besides who else would we fill all the prisons with?

Pot should and will be legal...soon enough ( every where ). Alcohol is waaaaay worse...and if that is legal..than pot should be as well.
I'm a health/fitness nut..I'll take 3 hits of dank and be fine the next day to train..mountain bike..mma etc. No issue.

Not in the Op's post, but there are plenty of legal goods sold on the black market... including ones diff cartels deal with. Can we stop pretending now, that if marijuana was legal, that would stop drug wars permanently?

To some of you non smokers it is not smoking a joint that cures cancer. its Tinctures, and oils that are high in CBD NOT THC that helps reduce the size of tumors, and also drastically lowers the number of epilepsy seizures.

Pot is great and should be legal, I smoked daily in college and watched many friends do the same. The only two down sides I can see to it are in smoking it, which means inhaling carcinogens thus causing cancer, and I noticed along with noticing in my friends, that it DOES lower motivation when high. The second of those two downsides is true with most all drugs though, except for meth and that prom queen.
i'm not against legalization and i don't really smoke but honestly i would more if it were legal.
That said, some people have weird views on legalization and how it should be handled. Just because it doesn't affect you much at all doesn't mean that's true for others.
Personally, if i smoke i get disorientated. I can drink hard liquor all night and basically be fine..but i cannot smoke. You may be the opposite or maybe both don't affect you.
Some people believe it should just be legal 100%..just smoke when you want, where you want. They act like it's natural so it is just good for you and that's it.
In order to legalize it we need to control it.
Alcohol may be worse but it's very easy to control.
These are things that marijuana needs (not saying none exist, i may just have not seen it) but this is what needs to be considered.

can be detected instantly and accurately. if you're driving we know the level you are at if pulled over.
can be diluted, you can water down alcohol which makes it more of a social activity. i can have scotch while you have a watered down vodka cranberry. People have said that there are weaker types of marijuana but it's just not as social in my opinion.
it's contained to you and you alone. I can drink next to you and you don't get any of it. if you smoke near me i have to inhale that. Same is true for cigarettes but cigarettes do not affect you the same way.

Def should be controlled. But who is to say you are "impaired" if it's in your system ? Due to the fact that you can smoke a week ago and still have it show up.
But the dui test should be sufficient. If you're impaired you're impaired. It being in your system isnt really a way to tell.
That being said I've driven stoned in my younger days...1000x and never ever drove drunk EVER. Is it safe or smart no...would I do it now at 36 ?? no...
But driving drunk is far more dangerous for the majority of humans. I will even say that is fact.
I wouldnt say that should be ok though.
Same as booze..over 21...dont do it and drive...or dont drive within an hour of smoking some rule...4 hours whatever. Only allowed in private bars..smoking clubs etc. Not in certain public places..same as alcohol. Let each state decide.

so what i'm saying is..fine legalize but think these things through. it seems like nobody is. i'm always middle ground on these issues because the really vocal groups are far left or right.

I strongly doubt that marijuana cures cancer. If it did, there would be an abundance of evidence for it. There isn't. Instead, the scientific peer-reviewed articles suggest pot use probably does more harm than good:

Wait one second here! I love my beer, lets not get crazy. Lot of good natural ingredients in a fine beer. Smoke all the fn weed you want, I could care less. Hopefully they will legalize the stupid plant. I just can't stand the smell of it.
