Agreed. Terry has always been extremely arrogant. He likes to look down the tip of his nose at people. I met you in Bowling Green this past fall Terry, at the NMRA World Finals, and even watched you interact with customers that were interested in wheels, tires, and parts. You acted like you didn't have time for any of them, unless they were handing you cash or a card. And you also acted like you knew more than anyone there. Even the old guy that was sitting under the awning with you was a prick. I had every intention on buying a set of dark stars, but put my money back in my pocket based on how I saw you and the old guy treating people.
That's 100% not true. And that doesn't even make sense. How am I supposed to know who is ready to buy, and who isn't without talking to people.
Mike, whom is no longer with Race Star, is a different kind of guy. I can't control other people's personalities.
The races are extremely busy, and stressful, trying to make sure everythings going right with the cars, and that's what I really try to focus on. I tried to help the guys at Race Star with their booth last year at the races and it takes quite a bit of time.
I do the best I can, being by myself. I'm don't have 4 or 5 employees to take orders and wait on customers like some of the big companies do. I'm by myself.
I spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to help as many people as I can to all hours of the night. I was up til almost 1am on the phone with a customer Saturday night, that just finished his install on his paxton, was away from home, and needed help getting the tune loaded to the car so he could make it back and was having computer problems. I didn't go to bed until I got him walked through and his car was running.
There isn't anyone out there that takes customer service to heart as much as I do. I could turn off the phone at 5 like everyone else does, and walk away. But that doesn't help the guy stuck on a Sunday afternoon, when he needs his car running Monday morning.
And as far as being arrogant. To be the best at something, you have to have confidence, and a little cockiness. As far as thinking i'm better than other people, anyone who knows me knows that's not true. I came up simpler and poorer than probably 75% of the people out there. I've worked my way up from the cheap seats.
I still have a full time job i'm at 55-60 hours a week, on top of all the time i put into this place, the other forums, and all my customers. Then up at the shop evenings. I'm one person doing the work of 3+.
If I rubbed you the wrong way, sorry, it happens sometimes. Everyone has different personalities and don't always click.
That's why there are different shops out there and different places to buy from. I work as hard as I can to earn business and treat people right.
