She's Asian. She shouldn't be driving anything let alone a SUV
She is 29, and never been in an accident. I think she is trustable.
Yea it was much harder than the average car to judge turning radius, blind spots, and just how close you were to somebody.

One plus though, you can get them in a 6spd.

6 spd autos ftw

I want her to get a Explorer or Edge, but she just doesn't really care much for the way they ride and drive. Anyways, we have been looking. What she is set on: infiniti FX35, a bmw x5 or x5M, a MDX, or a FJ Cruiser. My question is, I know all about the MDX, my neighbors own one, and My SIL's dad works at a Acura dealership. What do you all think about any of these? It needs to be able to hit 28 mpg at least. The FJ is in question there. Any reviews you all have would be nice. She is dead set on these vehicles, trust me I have shown her everything. Thanks.

Name of girl in sig?

I test drove an FJ and i just want to point out that it has massive blind spots. Every time i changed lanes i kept having to triple check to make sure i wasn't running over some guy in a smart car.

Cool rides but they SUCK to drive

A girl at work is leasing a new Infiniti FX35 and that thing is always in the shop.
She has had it for only 6 months and it has been at the dealership over 7 times for check engine lights, transmission issues and other electrical gremlins. :nonono:

I know its not on your list, but have you looked at the Hyundai Santa Fe?

I have begged for her to get a SRT8 Jeep, and just about everything you can imagine. She is dead set on these choices.

Wouldn't come anywhere close to your required 28 MPG ;-)

Out of your choices, I'd go with the X5M. 550 horsepower twin turbo with a factory 12.5 quarter mile is hard to turn down.

If you want fuel economy, power, handling, style, and a little luxury the X5 35D is your best bet. Trust me I love mine. The 425lbs of TQ makes the car so easy to drive. The X5 even has a decent amount of HP and an impressive redline for a diesel. You can even get it with the 3rd row seat which I recommend. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I was getting over 27mpg oh the freeway and I don't always take it easy....lol. On top of it all the car is just fun to drive. I recommend test driving one so you can see what I mean.

She wants something nicer then a Ford.

So why is the FJ on the list? that thing is made of melted down lego's and the dreams of children...

I don't really think she needs an X5M either, an X5 is one thing.

The X5 Diesel isn't a terrible idea, in fact it might be the best option as long as theirs plenty of access to diesel in your area.
