the interest is higher on an 03/04 than a 07-09? Is it because the car isnt worth as much?

Well i would think think the interest would be higher a little. I think my rate is 3.75% on the gt500. But getting a bank to loan you full amount on an 03/04 is prolly gonna be hard

First off, Im guessing you wern't at fault seeing as you were hit front and back. Too hard to tell by looking at it weather or not it was totaled, I just totaled mine on Mar 31st when I was rear-ended sitting at a stop light(Pics in Shelby GT500 section), hit so hard it crinckled the roof, however my insurance people(USAA) had to dig deep to determine it was totaled. Their first estimate was 19+K in damage. At the time of the accident my back started hurting, I let the ambulance take me to the hospital and its been a medical mess from day one. GET A LAWYER. With auto accidents you can find a decent lawyer to take your case based on nothing unless he gets you paid. Just stay away from the two bit hustlers and you'll be fine. How sore are you now? It took me 72 hrs before all that hurt started hurting, but after a month and a half, its my back that hasnt changed from day one along with my left shoulder which is trashed, maybe 30% movement without bad pain. You need to be protected, no one else is gonna represent your best interest!

Im sorry to say but I dont think it is a total loss. I forget the actual percentage that has to be written in repair estimate. Ive been out of the body shop industry for about 5 years now. But from the looks of the accident it looks repairable.

I know in Kansas if the repairs exceed 75% of the cars value, it is considered totaled.

Its going on the third day now and more sore than the time of the accident, but nothing like i was expecting. Maybe it just hasnt hit me yet. There are times where i will feel a sharp pain in my neck or shoulder.

As of today the damage cost is up 22k, and he still hasn't taken anything off the car. Its gotta get to 24.5k to be total loss. So it should get there, getting a rental in the morning and that should help add to the cost.

She has recovered well. Just make sure you get checked out, and get second opinions.

the interest is higher on an 03/04 than a 07-09? Is it because the car isnt worth as much?

itll usually be higher because the length of the loan (IE how many months you can finance for) will generally be shorter since its an older car.

Usually they stop offering used car loans past a certain year, but it also depends on value of the car and whether or not the bank feels on certain cars its worth the risk. They need to be able to sell it off if you default.

Id imagine at this point though a car that MSRP'd for $34k in '03 and still valued at high teens/low 20's almost 10 years later isnt that hard of a pill for them to swallow, but I wouldnt be surprised if the max term allowed is like 36 or 48mo. You sure in the hell wont get 72 or 84mo like you would a new car loan, and you wont get close to new car loan interest rates to boot.

Were do you get that at? How lomg does it last

I get most if not all my detailing supplies from autogeek.net.

It lasts a good month or so, but like I said, thats after a good polishing with a high speed rotary with compound and a really firm pad.

Check out PenFed credit union. I got 1.99% intrest for my 03 about a year ago and they are still giving that rate. The 1.99% is good up to 60 months on new or used vehicles.

Well, im going to be getting a check for around 1800 after they pay off my loan. Happy about that, but they want 10k for me to buy back the car. So I wont be buying, mostly because I dont have the funds. I got two cars in mind right now for a replacement, 2008 white/ blu stripe, 14k miles, razor wheels, nav, jlt, tune, lowered, borla exhaust. Or a 2010, grabber blu/ white stripe, nav, 5000miles, all stock.
