I am actually considering trading the Mustang for one... how sick is that.

the average 2012 focus buyer spends 25k and makes over 100k a year because it is such a good car. and 25k isnt bad for a "compact car" thats loaded
oh and BTW guys, Ford is aiming this at mazdaspeed3 and civic si
The Si can't compete with any of these cars. I drove a new Si & holy shit it is like you're not even moving. What a boring ride.
I don't think people will be cross shopping a focus and a mustang gt. 25k seems about right considering the cars it will be competing with.

ford has a 3% stake in mazda at the current moment. But Ford owns Mazda.
myt dealer already told me I could order one at MSRP...Plus additional dealer mark up.
and a turbo, and it has 250/270 and should get 33-35 hwy.$25k for a compact car is crazy. That's around $450 a month to be riding around in a focus, and it doesn't make it any better because they add some suspension upgrades and an st to the name.
different markets. I plan on buying the focus as a DD. The backseat is more usable, it has more doors, should run low 14's get me 30+ on the freeway and be a blast on the backroads.WAAAY too much money for a Focus IMO. I know, I know, it's loaded. Big deal, it's still a Focus that costs $30k optioned out. I could easily find a brand new 5.0 for that money.

And a new 5.0 for 30k will not have the options the focus does.
Exactly. $30k is a steal.
