Congrats to the owner of the car. Although you can't blame us for not believing the first post. Not much info provided. I didn't believe it until more info was shared. You have to expect people to not believe the claim when no real info is provided until 30 posts into the thread. Kinda stupid to post up you ran a new best and if you dont believe me go search for the evidence. wtf. How about if you want people to believe you post up some evidence.

We still don't know the race weight of the car. Also no vid of the pass?? Really??? Im not going digging through the links posted to find the race weight or a vid. I did see a time slip in a link from the owner of the car while i skimmed through a link posted. The time slip looked great.

Also this is a ford forum. Not all of us keep up with who and what is going on in the gm world.

Thanks for the compliment.

You think that video was of a turbo car? LOL..

and your right I didn't have slicks so my car cut a 1.77 60ft

Guess I can't drive. I have referenced time and time again that your SHIFTING is SLOW!!!!

And you like to talk about my 60ft..

Atleast your not denying I could outshift you, let me know if you wanna go some 9.7x's....

Also, thanks for clarification of mods done to car, like everyone has simply asked you to explain.

I actually love the new name you guys made, wish I would have thought of it first...

28" hoosier quick time pro's.

I guess 615ftlb of tq at 2k rpm would have taken more than two times at the track before selling to master the launch.

But, I had orders to Korea for a year so I let it go.

I don't think he's lying, although who knows how much a 'lil weight reduction' is. There are Ford guys who pull off stuff like this too, (as in faster than what 99.9999% of what anyone else can achieve).

Look up a user named, 'jerrytubbs1' he's running 10.30s@130mph+ in a full weight, bolt-on GT500. I seriously doubt anyone else can ever duplicate it, but he does it in freak conditions and perfect driving skills.

If a bolt-on GT500 can do it, you can be damn sure a bolt-on C6Z can run 3-4tenths quicker under the same unordinary circumstances.

Thank you Chi, Thats still a awesome job, running 10.30s in a full weight GT500.

I've ran a 10.36@132 in a full weight GT500. I've also lined up against a number of Z06's. I've yet to see one ever cut a 9.XX with bolt ons, but on the right day...the right driver....the right weight...the right tires....the right prep.....anything is possible. I *HAVE* however seen two of them drop the asses right out from under them. Gotta love IRS.

im curious, since some people have different definitions of the term "full weight," what do you mean by it? full interior? just curious

Fartpipe, RobZ, and Gary are the real deal. Nobody is a bigger mustang guy than me, but I happen to own a C6Z also. Some of you guys sound worse than vette owners. I find it strange that I end up defending mustang's on corvette sites and corvette's on ford sites. I guess it's because I'm a car guy, not an ignorant brand loyalist!
+1 I'm right there with ya brother... having owned both I find I too end up defending Vettes on here and Cobra's over there. Brand loyalty is over rated and for the most part dumb as a box of rocks.

I now can understand your post. I've cut better 60's on my OEM F1s in my Bonestock 2004 Z06. I guess I should learn how to drive from you since you are so accomplished. Perhaps I should jump in your car and run a better time.

You do realize a car making a lot more power than a stock car will have Little issue hooking at times when either it's not on a good tire or driver sucks...none the less his ET is horrible for MPH and 60' does suck but If he was running some Sumitomos or some shit tire that will take all reason of not hooking

we still don't know the race weight? The question was asked and not answered several times on corvette forums? BTW, why do you guys venture over here, when you obviously don't own an SVT anything. Do you see me posting on any vette forums? I do post on LS1GTO.com as I own one. I understand you want to show everyone what you've done, but we still don't have all the information, and now you guys are bashing members on this site?

GM cars always launched well on street tires even at 245s I would know as well. Far off better than a mustang however point was between one C5 Z owner out 60' a 600+hp/600+trq cobra that probably wasn't on a good tire. Would be a obvious outcome.

Its funny I actually just had a talk.about that with 98TAdriver. Explained the difference between our 2 setups. His TQ arm on his old TA compared to our tri 4 link.

Well the OP (Robz) started the thread and he's been a member longer then you. He may not have a post count as high as yours but the fact remains the same. You then asked for varification from the owner (Gary) because you didn't want to hear it threw hearsay. Fair enough, so he sighns up to give it to you stright from the horses mouth. I, for one am a die hard ford guy owneing more then one SVT vehicle and more mustangs then one should own in a life time. 98TAdriver may not own one personally but has been under the hood and in the driver seat of every one of my SVT cars he. As for the weight of Garys car I belive its 3130-3150 but not sure if that's with him in it. That you might want to PM Gary to get a quicker responce.

In no way is this post to be in any disrespect to you or anyone else. Just giveing my $.02

Congrats on the 9 second pass nice to see people who own ZO's driving them like they should be. I dont know whats so hard to believe about the times you ran, NMRA Pure street cars run high 9's with way less cubes and more weight even factory stock cars run high 10's so a 427" motor with killer heads and light weight internals and less weight should have no problem doing it with the right mods and a great set up. Plus running below sea level in dec sure helps with setting records.
