No matter what muffler you match to the O/R X its going to make that sound. its not because its chambered, straight thru mufflers will make the same noise, it actually sometimes sounds worse in soem cases. For example friend of mine had an 00GT with an O/R X and a bassani catback. WOT sounded great, when he was cruising or on decel or downshifting. It would sound like a Mack Trucks Jake brake.
Ive heard tons of exhaust combos and all Xs without cats made this sort of tone/noise. Like i mentioned above, and so did others. Either get a catted X pipe, or an O/R H pipe.
The whole X belongs with straight muffs and H belongs with Chambered is nonsense. I gained 20 rwhp and 10 rwtq with my o/r MRT H matched with straight thru mufflers and it sounds awsome
