Just got back from the Dyno Shop, my last Dyno with the Mods in my Sig, minus the X-Pipe was 447 rwhp/450, after X-pipe 452/451
both SAE, I will have to look at my graph from last time to see if maybe the curve is better or something but only 5hp peak gain and about 1 tq, at what rpm do you check to see what your A/F should be? the graph is attached also.

Here you go, without X-pipe run, I had misfire at high RPM on this run but have since re-gaped my plugs.

I think 5 to 8 HP at the rear wheels is about average gain for the Catted X pipe VS stock H. From close examination of the stock system the main restrictions are right at the inlet and outlet of the mufflers where the stock pipes neck down from 2.25 in. down to about 1.9". However I haven't done a dyno comparison yet myself.

That's good to know. Confirms what others have said. I am running the stock H and have been thinking hard about an X pipe. I love the sound I have now, so I can justify giving up the 5-8 HP to save $400 and keep the sound just like I like it.

Lost some torque after the x-pipe install. If you didn't reset your computer after you installed the x-pipe maybe that's why you lost torque. Either that or maybe your chip needs a reburn.

I'm quite surprised that the Magnaflow catted-X would show consistent losses in torque (especially at the higher hp levels like yours), so maybe you do need to reset your computer.

That doesn't show the whole picture though, there's something wrong. I didn't lose torque like that on my car with the same x-pipe and cat-back.

BTW, welcome to the site.

Overall, dyno readings of +/- 5rwhp can be considered negligable, so I really see no conclusive benefit. We all "know" the stock X is a non-performer, so I would definitely reset the computer. Let us know of any SOTP difference.

Yeah I feel SOTP, thats why I was really surprised by the numbers. Also with a custom Chip does it work the same way for resetting the computer by unplugging the Battery? My A/F stayed at about 12.7 after 3700 and all the way to the end of the pull.

I am no expert, but the way I understand it a chip replaces the tables that are contained in the PCM with it's own look-up tables which are contained on the chip. The long term and short term fuel trim should modify from there. That's the way I believe it works. So yes, it should work the same way.

This is going to be kind of long so bare with me, now that I think about it, the last time I Dyno'd without the X-pipe, I got like 4 pulls instead of the usual 2, what happened was we did the two pulls and then the guy said my tires were slipping so he was going to let the car cool down and give me two more pulls, so we put the fan on the car let it cool down and then did it again, thus the 447/450 run, where as this time with the X-pipe we just did the regular two pulls with no fan, so when they loaded the data on the page for the pre-x pipe run they put the more modest pull up(439/443) because the guy said the other pull was missing data ( note: the break in the line on the 447/450 ) graph, so if you compare the more likely real numbers than I did gain quite a bit, here's a cool link where you can compare runs as I added mods. Sorry I had forgot all about that. think it makes a difference?
