I don't know if there is a difference between the 98 and 99, but I just pulled mine from my 99 a few months ago during my build and went back with a new kit...everything is good expect the driver side tensioner from the secondary chains and was in perfect working order when I took it off. I accidentally dropped the tensioner and it came apart. I'm not sure if its usable or not, as I wasn't sure how it went back together. Let me know if you're interested. Txt me at 606-369-1798
