Will SCT X4 Drain Battery?

Does anyone here leave their SCT X4's connected to the obd port with the ignition off and key out, lets say overnight?

I am sure the device will recognize when the car is turned off, but I do not want to test it out myself.

Why would anybody want to do this? Not a good idea. Even when changing a tune, all acc off and possibly a tender hooked up. Not worth locking computer.

Well, I like using my X4 as a realtime gauge. I imagine with all of the insertion and removal of cables from the OBD port and the actual device, something will break. I was just trying to see if I could have a more permanent gauge setup.

Get an Ngauge brotha. Does exactly what you're trying to do.

The X4 is a Reflash tool that does very simple data logging, that's about it.

You can set it to datalog practically anything the ecu sees.
