2.66:1st 0.50:6th
OR
2.97:1st 0.62:6th

but I cant find jack. Anyone that has one, can you give me your two cents on what you selected for yours and why an anyone with helpful info that would be greatly appreciated. I run a 28X10.5 15in wheel and tire and I run 100 shot No2 threw the car, it is a 2013 5.0 6MT Track Pack 3:73s .

I would do the 2.97 1st gear with that combo

Usually the only guys a recommend the 2.66 1st gear to are Turbo and PD blowers.

If it were my car i would even look at doing a 4.10 gear with it.

Let me know if you need any help or pricing we have some awesome Packages for the whole swap.

JustinJor has a 2.97 and nitrous and it has been working good for him!!

I've got a whole 2.97 Magnum XL setup for sale from my Boss if you are interested in saving some cash. The whole setup is currently at JPC and will ship from there.

2.97 without a doubt. You will need at least a 4:10 to have close to the same gearing as a 3.31/MT82 combo. 1, 2, and 3 are close, but the 1:1 4th gear hurts compared to the 1.3 in the MT82.

Just curious, what kind of power to put that kind of ration to use? 800+?

Yeah, what are your plans?

Mine is setup with a 2.97 first. 3.31 gears with 28.5" tall tire. But I am make power, so it's all in your setup/plans

Actually 3:90's are the closest to 3:31's in an mt-82 with a 27 inch rear tire, 4:10 are closer to 3:55's in an mt-82 with a 27 inch rear tire..Use this calculator it helped me choose my rear end gears....

SS #670 with MM6 manual and 3.73 gears

Tire height is irrelevant since they would be the same for both transmissions--ceteris paribis.

Final drive for each gear is what's important. Here is a screenshot of the spreadsheet I made. 2nd and 3rd are a little shorter with the T56, but the rest of the power gears are a little longer, even with 4:10s.. 4th gear is very long even with the 4:10s. It's like shifting from 3rd to 5th in an MT82 car

Dude you have got to get a Tremec if you like manuals...there's no other way i can explain it! It makes the mt-82 feel like junk! It does everything better then the mt-82!...And guess what the new 2015 mustang gets initially...an mt-82! It just goes to show you how cheap Ford is to let that tranny continue to be used in these cars!

Totally understand man. I'm not in a rush per say, but I do need to sell it as I'm going Auto.

How much you asking?

And JPC which would you recommend for a 13 gt with your single kit and 3:73s

Send me a PM and we can go from there. We ran 3.73s in my boss with the JPC turbo kit and the 2.97 Magnum, worked well on the street and the track. MJ from 5.0 Magazine loved how the car drove at the KOTS competition.

I believe one of the guys at JPC said they could do the 2.97 1st gear with the 0.50 6th gear. But would take an additional 2 weeks to ship out. That would be the hot set up for a 4.10 or 4.30 rear gear.
