Will 2 Catalytic Converters trip MIL

Exactly what the title says. I know the stock H-pipe has 4, but if I bought 2 cats from Catco and threw them on my X, would it still trip the MIL light? Or do I need 4 cats to not trip the MIL light. Sorry for all the stupid smog questions, this shit is making my head hurt too!

I have an MRT 2 cat H-pipe with no check engine light issues. It also passes tail pipe testing. Like any cats.. they have to be hot.. but work GREAT when warmed up.
