I bought my wife a 2012 Cayman R. Pretty cool little car! This is her 2nd "toy". About 3 years ago she had LS2 c6, she loved it but did not like getting caught in the rain and it was her only car. Now she has a daily so this will be a weekend car for her. She is in LOVE with it..... I've created a monster!

very nice! I got to ride around the road coarse at Daytona International Speedway in one of those (not sure if it was the same model year) on some R compounds and it was an absolute blast

They're fun cars, but do yourself a huge favor and get a good extended warranty. That was a lifesaver with my dads 911.

Nice car! The R is the only model that has aged well compared to the new 981 Cayman. the rest just look old. Hope your taking it to HPDE events. That is NOT a car that is meant to be a garage queen!

very nice!!! They are some fun little cars!

my wife is the same way. She argues with me about getting "practical" vehicles when i was looking to buy the GTR, but after i got it. She drives it more then i do. LOL. She's been wanting a to swap out the 7 series for a bmw m6 gran coupe. Might be our next move end of this year/jan next year.

Is anyone interested in adopting a young engineer?

Well.. since you already have a wife... do you need a husband?

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

I think I'll be alright it still has a lot of the factory bumper to bumper warranty remaining.

You sir are a good husband! Cool car

I try!

Def will not be a garage queen, however not sure if I can talk to the wifey into tracking her new toy (even though that's what it's built for!).

I am still learning a lot with the Cayman's. I do know the R has a curb weight of under 3000lbs, 330HP, 0-60 4.3 . So it is quicker than the S from what I understand but I still have a lot to learn with it. My zr1 is getting a ported blower, ported snout, ported t/b, intake, pulley, headers, injectors, flex fuel, e85, tune. Should run well!

LOL! That's awesome man!
