You cannot beat that for the price. $300 for a new cover that is strong enough to not require a brace. Sounds like a win-win to me.

search for a irs on ebay. I've seen everything from a whole assemble (which you don't need) to some one parting one outpiece by piece. It seems like the bid was just 200 - 300.00 at the time.
