Why isn't compound boost more popular?

It was a combination of 18lbs. 8 from the stock blower and the other 10 were from the turbo's.

Did you read 18lbs from a source under the blower to get a "true" total psi measurement?
I ask because 8lbs from the blower and 10psi from the turbos does not equeal 18lbs total. You you dont add the boost together, you have to determine the pressure ratio for each on there own and multiply the pressure ratios to find the compound pressure ratio, reverse the math to find total boost.

For example:

For the above referrenced numbers the math is this:

Where as * is multiply, and / is divide and 14.7 is atmospheric pressure which has a pressure ratio of 1

(8psi + 14.7) / 14.7 = 1.54 pressure ratio for the blower
(10psi + 14.7) / 14.7 = 1.68 pressure ratio for the turbos
1.54 * 1.68 = 2.59 total pressure ratio

(2.59 * 14.7) - 14.7 = 23.37 total psi

18 total psi would be 8psi from the blower and 6.53psi from the turbos as measured at their outlet before the SC.

SO looking at this graph are we showing Max TQ at 4500 RPMS? If so that is not much difference that my current setup

Here is graph of my single 76 turbo e85 cobra on 13psi

It was on pump not E85.

I have a video of the boost ref. Please allow me to get the video and post it up to show how it was recorded.

I'm reading up on compoud boost and i'm just wondering why this thread died without the follow up video?

And when I look at the single turbo vs the compound they really look like the same curve to me
