*~*Why is 01 Cobra rear bumper more than 03/04??*~*

I'm in need of a new rear bumper and thought about going with either an 01 or 03/04 rear bumper.

I called Ford today to inquire on pricing and found that the 03/04 Cobra rear lists for $384 whereas the 01 Cobra rear lists for $400 and the 99 for $250 or so.

My question is... Why the heck is the 01 Cobra rear more than the 03/04? I'm confused.

I really can't say but if the 03/04 Cobra bumper is cheaper, get it! It looks better, IMO.

Make sure it includes the black plastic piece at the bottom that has the exhaust cut-outs in it for that price, that could not be included.

It could have something to do with the economies of scale. They made a LOT more 03's and 04's than they made for 99. Remember that the big cost is tooling, and that cost is then spread out over the quanity made.
