replacing the heater core on a 1994-2004 mustang is not difficult. when I do a heater core job on a mustang, I take out the dash and steering column as a unit. There is no need to remove the steering column unless you like extra work.:bash::read:

i have torn everything on this car apart at least once.(exept the interior.)
ihave had my engine in and out twice, trans out about 6 times, ive had 3 different rear ends in.
but wiring and now interior parts, are my weakness.
for such a little thing to change there is way to much f^cking around for me.

I need a heater for a maximum of 4 months a year..... and its been bypassed since May. I'd much rather pay someone to do it, but I've been pretty broke lately.

Any other way to fix the heater core without pulling all of the interior out to replace it?

You could take the engine out and cut out the firewall. :burn: :nonono:

I've done this once and it was not fun but it wasn't too bad really. I researched the procedure of dash removal first and after a few weeks of mental preparation just did it in about 4-5hours one day.

Try again no_slow_svt, it's nice to have a heater, the work isn't as bad as it seems right now.

Wouldn't have been too bad to do while I had the engine out....

Prollly good insurance to replace the blower motor as long as you are in there.
Imagine the horror if it went out 1 month later :cuss:
