During the bad days the problem is most likely your boss vs the job. Remember, one of you will PCS in the near future and the problems will miraculously go away. Been there, done that for 23+ years in the Air Force. One thing to think about when you do retire is to go back to college and get that degree. It will help you in your new job. Will your current skills be useful in the civilian environment or with a government contractor. Your clearance is worth a lot. Take advantage of it. Thank you for your service.January will be 13 yrs for me in the Army. I joined about 6 months after high school of hating life at home, tried the college thing for a while, it wasn't bad but I was looking for something else, been doing it ever since. Thankfully I have more good days than bad days lol I had always been around military life, moving around, seeing people come and go. Looking to go the warrant officer route within the next year so my lunch break can be from 9-5.
As for family: my dad and uncle both retired from the Army at 23+ yrs as warrant officers, their side of the family's military service dates back from the Civil War to present day. My mother did 5 or 6 yrs in the reserves before my heathen ass popped out. My grandfather retired from the Air Force
I was at Andersen AFB during the winter of '65/'66. I drove a fuel truck. I never made it to the Navy base.
The problem is politicians see soldiers as disposable and don't give a **** about them. I watched a documentary that interviewed British soldiers that returned from the trenches in WW1. The public wanted nothing to do with them. They were rejected and the sacrifices they made not appreciated.I served for 8 yrs
I understand now why only certain people sign up
Being willing to die for your country and willing to kill for your country
Just wait until Biden/Harris get in. I dunno what will happen sooner, Harris taking over or the US getting in another war.The problem is politicians see soldiers as disposable and don't give a **** about them. Also look at what happened with the populations of Europe in WW1 and WW2. Hundreds of millions died and probably a billion lives lost because of all the unborn generations that never lived. And then after those wars their bought and paid for politicians opened the floodgates to forced mass third world immigration to replace the native Europeans. White people are the new Native Americans.
I despise whore politicians and instigators that start wars. They should be forced to serve on the front lines. **** them!
In Vietnam the last people we needed to help us was politicians. TET was a bitch with their policies. The problem is politicians see soldiers as disposable and don't give a **** about them. I really loved my time in SAC and at Offutt. I always felt SAC was their own Air Force. Once you were in SAC you would always stay in SAC unless you stepped on your peepee at some time.
