This car belongs to a good friend of mine in my car crew

its a Pump Gas 427 with stock unworked heads and a mild cam and intake and goes to show you what a well setup Car can run with the right suspension

I think it's interesting to see the 4 cylinder evo in the other lane turn (almost) the same numbers. That would not have happened in 1968 Times have changed

the old muscle cars weren't that fast out of the box compared to any modern car, ie: cobras, vettes, etc...

look up what they ran back in the day

true...
but, I have seen a few run very respectable times with minimal mods

I would hardly call them slow, but then again my car is slow
carry on:pop:

minimal mods on a pushrod motor back then were heads and cams

Guess you don't consider the cobra, starliners, Thunderbolts and other factory cars fast? they ran 11 or 12's back in the day on crappy tires!!

Shit that Evo was right there with it. Sounds like a 4.10 or 4.56 rear with a turbo 350 or 400. I know that the Turbo 400 in my Chevelle was one tough bitch. Such a easy car to race or burnout with. I didn't have a brake in mine, but with a gear & stall, just foot brake that bitch off the line, man good times. :)

Cool video! It's nice to see a street driven older musclecar running numbers like that. It seems like alot of them at the track these days are race cars only.
