Which SRA setup would you go with?

Im looking at two different SRA setups and curious what others would go with. Money is a bit of a factor and the only reason i cant decide which route to go rightnow.

Just got off the phone with Moser and one of their 9" housings complete with everything, and set up, would run $2450 plus shipping.

I found this 8.8 setup that isnt as great, but a bit more budgetable for now.
Speed Concepts - M-4006-AXLEKIT - 1999-2004 Mustang GT/Bullitt/Mach1 and all 1999-2004 Cobra 8.8 rear end axle complete kit 31 Spline & gears

I also found this 8.8 setup that is used but seems to be a good piece.

Currently my car is making 600rwhp, but im going to a different setup and its going to be making above 700rwhp.

The only downside to the moser 9" is no ABS and I would have to get a custom driveshaft for a standard u joint 1350

The main factor is either way I have to purchase the upgraded LCAs and UCAs, and probably smart to go ahead and get a panhard bar as well. That factors into the build that I was hoping to keep under $2000.

I know getting the moser is as good as it can get, and I wont worry about upgrades in the future like I would on the 8.8 setup, but do you think the 8.8 setup as it sits there would be enough for the 700rwhp?

Thanks for the advice/help

i bought that axle kit from speedconcepts and went with steeda steel upper/lower control arm kit $300, then i bought their rear sport spring because that what was on the front of my car and i think those were $100. i didnt use any abs sensors, i figured i would have an abs or brake light on but i dont. and a buddy of mine had a rear swaybar laying around for a 89 gt and it bolted right up to the LCA so that was free

I have always gone 1 up on stuff with this car and have had zero issue's excapt for center sections. there is a tq multiplication chart that shows what axles are recommended for what hp. with 700rwhp your prob ok with 31s on the street. if you plan any track outings or use sticky tires, deff go with 33s to be safe imho. I run 33s in my car because I have a high tq rating (2.84 first gear and 4.10s) and I run slicks.

I still havent seen the need for a 9". guys run NMRA in the 8s with 8.8's. Im sticking with mine until it snaps in half as its lighter and already in my car!

ive decided to go ahead and get the 9" just for the fact everyone is asking $600-$800 for 8.8s right now, and after buying all the parts it would be darn near the same price as the 9"

umm..u know an 8.8 from FRPP w/ 31 spline axles and center is like $900 right??

and even getting one for $800 and building it...

8.8 - 800
posi - 500
axles - $350

thats $1650

what does the Moser come with for parts? how about housing ends? if its 9" ends you have ot buy brakes too....

Just build a stock 8.8 i saw one somewhere on here for like 300. Just look around you can get them cheap, weld it up, axles, posi and some good studs your done. I stole mine from my 00 gt. Im going to use the irs carrier with 31's and weld the tubes. I just recently put in a set of J&M ca's and reused the stock gt swaybar, eibach sportlines with drag bags. I need shocks and the tq boxes welded and probably a better spring.

haha another update, went a different route, found some 31 spline bolt in axles and a spool for an unbeatable price, and an empty sn95 8.8 housing... so im gonna drop that off at Moser and have them weld on some 9" ends, and then get a detroit locker and hopefully be done with it... now to decide which gears I wanna go with, either 3.27s or 3.55s,
