As title states.
94-98 will be the cheapest as most people dislike them. That era of mustang had nothing notable that happened except for maybe the 95R. The looks are very polarizing for some reason and all the cars are slow.
The upside to this is that they all take mods very well just like any other mustang and they're not as common anymore, at least not anywhere I've lived in the past 8 years. I've only seen three other sn95 Cobras since then.
The new edge cars are effectively the same but the wrapper appeals to more people. Personally, I think the appeal is directly related to the 03-04 Cobra, more than the new edge styling itself.
In my area New Edges have slowly went back up after bottoming out a couple years ago. Wish I would have held on to mine, I’m shocked at what semi high mileage ones go for.
Also late model 13/14 GTs are still holding their premium values. The sweet spot on cars where I’m at are mid year 07-10 mustangs and I am seeing 11-12 5.0 starting to drop.
What do new edge car run in your area? You can pick up a clean high mileage GT in my area for around 5k. Usually anything lower than that either has problems or its a V6 car.
As mentioned, the fleet is slowing thinning.94-04 GT are still semi-affordable. But i've slowly noticed pricing trending up.
A lot of 99-04 GT cars with nice/new paint, solid mods across the board.. bringing 7-10 lately. Regardless of miles. I know that's cobra/mach money, but that doesn't seem to matter anymore. The only cars that bring 10-15 range are beat terminators, or really nice Machs.
