I have the stock IRS from an 03' cobra just wanted to switch the gear from a 3.55 to a 4.10 or 3.73. Can't really decide just wondering what people are using out their.

Too bad you have the larger pinion yoke. I have a buddy with a set of 3.90's he wants to swap out. And I want a set of 3.55's. I'd take your 3.55's, he could have my 3.27's and you could have the 3.90's.

I think it depends on what you want to do with the car. Lot's of highway miles maybe go with 3.73? Racing quite a bit, sacrifice some fuel mileage and go 4.10.

Yeah my car with 3.73s, 42lb injectors, ford GT pump, KB BAP, and a paxton blower gets 23mpg on the highway at 70 mph or less, I also have a 3650 mach tranny though.

At the very least 4.10's. I drove a friends vorteched car and it seemed like it almost needed more gear. For daily/occasional strip car it seemed to a alright choice. With a t56 might wanna step up to the 4.30's.

I had 4.30's over in Germany, Vortech V2 and stock 3650 trans. At redline I could run 180mph. Can't do that anymore though, cops in the US frown upon it for some reason.......

My dads got an 07 gt with a novi 2200 on it, 507 rwhp he did other work too, but he has 4.10s and wishes he went with 3.73 or 3.55. Me and my dad both agree which is just our opinion but these cars no matter what type of supercharger should go with a lower gear than 3.73 if its mainly a street car. When you have that much Power there is no sense in loosing highway Comfort with 4.10's. O, unless its an auto. Then 4.10's with centri's only, roots/twin screw 3.73 with auto. This is just me and my fathers opinion. Get 3.73 and if your not acclerating fast enough, And you have over 400-450rwhp, Something is up. And on the highway you will still be at a pretty low RPM. I know, everyone says a couple hundred RPM u cant even tell on the highway, well we can. Depends on what type of person you are in the end, theres no right gear, If you want better gas mileage on highway and to be at a decent rpm at 65-70 and still have incredible acceleration, 3.55 or 3.73. Less shifting, Give that blower some time in the gears man.

I have 4.10's and with my power level I'm going down to 3.73's.. It's pointless on the street and unless you do 1/4mi racing it will actually slow you down street racing if that's what you do. Yes you will get that hit, but you shift so much and so fast that you are barely able to stay in the powerband long enough before you shift. Also race a 04 cobra with the same rwhp as you and you having 4.10's and him having 3.55's.. You will get walked hard as hell due to the them being in 2nd gear when you're in 3rd and so on and so forth.. Trust me. 3.73's are the damn near perfect gear for 500rwhp and more. 4.10's if you do a lot of dig racing or 1/4 stuff.

well the car is gonna see some street used but mostly stay on the strip. i dont know exact numbers but all buddies are predicting 420-460 rwhp with the handheld tuner, gonna try to tune it right but first the 4.10's are going in.

yeah, but i still think anything with a blower should go with 4.10's for the top end. my friend's stock cobra with 4.10's went 11.90's on drag radials.

^^ again for 1/4mi drag racing I couldn't agree more.. If you roll race on the street though it's a diffrence story. When I had 3.55's in my car at 550rwhp vs my friends pullied 04 with 3.55's and bolt ons made 459rwhp and 469rwtq I would walk him my 4-5 cars maybe more.. When I put in 4.10s and we did the same race it was maybe half a car, due to him being in 2nd when I was in 3rd and so on and so forth you know what I mean?? I always had a better gearing due to the rear end. So for 1/4 drag racing ya 4.10's are awesome. But if it's street racing you do and you race a lot of 3.55'd rear ended cars like 04 cobras you are going to be in for a awakening.
