What would cause slack in the timing chain?

After putting my cams back in and all the timing components when I rotate the crank I get slack in the right hand timing chain when it reaches a certian spot in the rotation. The slack is on the guide side. The tensioner is compressed and that side is really tight.

It could be caused by the valves opening and closing. When degreeing the cams you need to remove all the slack by extending the tensioners and locking them in place or use a c-clamp to remove the tension. Do that and rotate it again.
