what wire dissables the door chime??

I seen a post a while back on what wire to cut to stop the door chime from working....any one know what wire it was.

what I want to disconnect is the seatbelt chime...real irritating.

There's an easy way to take care of the seatbelt chime. Wear your seatbelt!

Look in the owners manual. There is a procedure to turn off the seatbelt chime.

There really is a procedure in the Owners Manual? Wow. That surprises me since I'd think they would not want to discourage people from not wearing it.

For the door chime, there should be (was on my 96 Cobra) a box that plugs in under the dash that contains the speaker. I removed it.

As for the seatbelt chime, the way I did it on my Lightning, there should be a plug under the seat that I just unplugged.

Don't quote me on this because it was on different vehicles. Hope it kinda helped.

The procedure is long and drawn out, probably to discourage anyone from doing it. But it works, I did it.

i think if you cut the BIG red wire that comes right off the battery..............:bash:

belt-minder can be disabled
the door chime can not, you may be able to close the "loop" at the little sending unit pin in the door jamb.

i could of sworn someone posted about one wire you could cut to diable the door chime ....oh well i cant search it cuase to search is down
