What to look for when buying a cobra

Just sold my LX yesterday so now I am gettin' ready to start lookin' for a cobra. what are some common problems that I should look for?

Also, what are some mods that I should avoid? I'm lookin' for a street car so I want something reliable.

Thanks CobraBob! That is a lot of really great info. You mention looking for mods. What mods would be considered "ok" and what should I stay away from? I know people love to change the pullies so that is the one I am most concerned about.

What is the smallest pulley that should be run (reliably) on a street car w/o a custom tune?
