I'm in Germany right now with my 2008 GT500 and its awesome on the autobahn. I run out of steam before I run out of road. Before I had a 2011 5.0 and while that was a good ride I always wanted a GT500. I'm pretty sure I know what GT500 you're looking at. If I were you jump on it.

Just today I had this old man in his station wagon weave through traffic, pull up beside me and gave a thumbs up with a huge smile on his face. Pulled around to his driver side, down shifted and gave him show.
Yeah the gt500 is for sale locally at my friends dealership

BOOM HEADSHOT!!!

Except you now have a car that a lot of highschool kids / soccer moms get to drive, will TANK in value and subjectively looks terrible on the exterior.

13/14 Shelby vs a s550 5.0 is not even the same league man.

Its like picking an 05 mustang gt over and 04 Cobra! Lol...

But as long as gou enjoy it, it is all that matters!

Very true, but I'm a lot happier. Have a nicer interior and the motor is plenty strong to support 750+ if I want. Money/depreciation isn't a factor to me. Already Have 20k miles on it, I buy my cars to drive. Might even put a gt350 beside it in a few months.

Best thing to do is drive both as all this is subjective. I think the s550 interior is light years ahead of the s197 whereas others think differently.
