I have 18x10 GTR Rims with 305/35/18 Nitto 555R II's. No rubbing at all. These tires are the road race ones, and they hook very well. Not in cold weather though!

Im subscribing to see if there are any cheap rims (stock 16in rims???) that will work with slicks?

I want to use something with a nice big sidewall so 17" wheels are out of the question. 16's are fine i think...i'm not completely sure.

I run a pair of 16x7 V6 wheels (02-04) with 315/45-16 ET Street Radials. I know it doesn't sound like it will work but they love it around 12psi. 1.6 60' leaving easy.

Any pics of the setup? Those tires sound big for the wheel but, I know some guys run 315s on our stock wheels.

*edit*

Well shit, can't find a picture anywhere. I'll pull the wheels out this weekend and snap a picture. Battery is dead on the camera.

I got these for free...you can definitely get a better deal if you don't care what they look like.

They clear everything with no issues at all, just had to run a 17 on the front because of the brakes.
