Where's a good spot to mount a 4 channel amp without having to use self tappers?

I am tempted to rip out the 460 gear when replacing my POS Kenwood Double DIN (touch screen froze and is DOA).

If you are adding a sub and it fits, on the sub box.

I removed all the Mach 460 crap. No need as it will never go back in.

with that extra space they now have an external amp that attaches to the back to run speakers as well

Would this radio with that amp attachment basically remove the 460 system? Might be an easy upgrade and cut out all the 460 nonsense

off the top of my head - no. The factory wiring goes head unit, amp in the back of the car, back out to the speakers. Youd have to run wiring direct from this amp attachment to the speakers themselves.

I did a ton of research on this last year when I did my all out build. Very happy with the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX. Checked all the boxes of: sleek and functional interface, wireless CarPlay, app integration, and back up camera. It works with stock speakers but I will say the speakers need to be upgraded to sound clear. I plan to do that soon

i have the Alpine INA-W900 double din 7” touchscreen with the mini amps behind it for the speakers and is amazing
