I just ordered a set of 15In billet specialties with 26x11.5x15 MT et street bias plys for the track/fun street nights....but now ive burned up my Nt05Rs that are on my street rims(315-35-17) these came on the car when i bought them and were worn a little. But to say the least there was no hooking in first or second...(610Rwhp)....any suggestions on what tire to go with?

Was thinking about giving the MT street radial a shot

I agree with the majority in here, the m/t et street radial 2's work extremely well on my car.

I would say go with Hoosier but it doesn't look like they make anything for a 17" rim

Really? What site are you looking at? Hoosier makes a Drag Radial in 275/40/17, 315/35/17 AND a 335/35/17. I can't think of any other size needed, they covered them all lmao.

I'm not at your power level but I just installed P315/35/R17 M/T ET Street II's that replaced my Nitto 555R's and the there is a huge difference in traction. The M/T's eliminated the wheel hop and they hook from a dig.

yes, 555r have about 8-9ooo miles on them and stock rear suspension except for H&R race springs. car will dead hook in first gear once warmed up. at low 20s psi. car put down 647rwhp. only thing i dont like is they hydroplain really bad when its raining. if its wet they arent bad, but while raining or on standing water is nuts.

Either you had a special hand built set of tires from Mr Nitto himself or you need to get your car back on the dyno to make sure your HP is correct! Nitto 555Rs won't dead hook a ported eaton with 500RWHP less known 647RWHP!

I run 24PSI all year long to include summer time with 518RWHP/543RWTQ and had to ride my clutch 1/4 through 1st and can put it to the floor after that. If I put it to the floor right away it would spin like crazy. Now add your 130 MORE RWHP and it's impossible to hook in 1st and I'll imagine 2nd and even 3rd. Not calling you a liar, but you definitely better hold on to those tires as long as you can, because you WILL NOT find another set of Nitto 555Rs that will "dead hook" or even slightly hook in 1st like you say your current tires do at 647RWHP EVER again:nonono:

I just put M/T street radials on my Whippled car, pretty much same HP as your car, I cannot tell you how much I love these tires. Finally able to feel some G-force again. Runnning the 315/35/17 on a 17X10.5" wheel.
