I'm not sure that this question can be answered 100% because of so many variables but.... what is a good number for timing degrees at WOT for a built gen1 shortblock with stock compression (11:1 I think), stock gen 1 heads/cams, 5% OD lower, LT's, no cats, VMP gen2 blower with a 69mm upper making about 15psi, id1000 injectors with 13/14 GT500 pumps on E80? The car is PBD tuned and the last log showed 22 degrees timing at WOT and with this same tune the car laid down 731/689 in 72 degree weather with 52% humidity. I was going to have the car dyno tuned because I have a local friend with very similar mods that is tuned by Lund on the same fuel and his current tune is at 18.5 degrees at WOT. Should I just leave my current tune as it is?

Buy new plugs, put them in.
Go WOT through a gear or 2.
Pull plugs, read plugs.

Best way to tune timing. Let the car tell you how much timing it wants.

I'd say you're fine with 22 degrees of timing using e80 on 15psi. My car with 12:1 compression will see 21 degrees with 30psi of boost using pump e85/c85 mix.

Is your friends car running the same power adder, boost, ect?

I think your timing is spot on. Im running the same blower with an 82mm pulley making just shy of 10 psi and max timing is 24 degrees on E85.

I just decided to leave it alone for now until I get the bigger fuel system, Id1300 injectors and ported blower/lower installed. I will just get it on the dyno then for a re-tune. I remembered that my friend that has a comparable set up (same blower, built stock compression motor, stock heads/cams, LT's) was getting the 18.5 degrees timing with a 72mm upper and stock lower as well as ID1050's and Fore fuel system. So his 18.5 degrees timing was for less boost.
