What is a 1997 Cobra Engine worth?

I have a 100K mile completely stock 1997 Cobra engine. It is from my personal car, 2 owners, always stored winters and most all highway miles. Removed in 2006 when 2004 drivetrain was installed. It has stored in climate controlled garage ever since. Guess I really should sell it, but what is it worth?

Did you ever run compression numbers or anything before you pulled it out? I'd say if it was in good running shape ready to drop in like 25-3500 but I'm sure it's really what someone is willing to spend

I see mark viii 32v engines sell for under $1,000. Since this is a cobra engine and many of the parts are more desirable, I think it would bring $1,500 or more.

I did compression when I bought the car in 2005, all cylinders were close well within spec., I likely have the actual numbers in my file.

$1250 complete.

If you want to do better, part it out.

Thanks for the feedback. It has been sitting, but in climate controlled garage, and I rotate it about once a month. I am pretty sure seals will be ok, but parting it out might be the best answer. I hate for someone to try to use it and find that it leaks or has some issue.

Thanks again.

At $1K I'd be interested if it weren't for you being in Nevada. :(
