This should be a fun thread.

What has failed on your Ford and why? Be sure to note what model, year, mileage and stock or modified.

I'll go first.

My car has 156,000 miles. Owned for 10 years. Things that have broke are;

Drivers window regulator.
2nd gear synchro on the t45. (Drag racing)
E brake cable (centre)
Drivers side brake caliper seized after 2 year storage
Clutch release bearing.

I don't think I have done bad in the 90,000 miles I have covered in it. Your turn!

Mustang 4500 miles (garage queen). NOthing broken...yet.

F150 2014 17,000 miles- Sync will be the death of me. Such garbage!! Otherwise, so far so good. I think the F150s fare pretty well over all.

Alternator went out at about 24k miles.
Clutch went out at about 25k miles.

Both of these things were expected of this car though.

96 GT 2nd, 4th and reverse syncros on the T-45 80k miles, water pump 96k miles, odometer gear 98k miles, electric driver seat is going to shit at currently 114k miles. I bought at 66k miles.
--*eDIT* I forgot my fuel pump went out at 9xxxx miles and my manifold cracked at 76k.

I had a 2000 Navigator that had the rear end develop a whine at 97k, got it fixed and sold at 116k miles. Owned Navi since new. It was dealer demo with 1k on the clock. I think the air suspension may have had a pinhole leak since it seemed that the compressor would kick on more often than it should have. Was dead nuts reliable other than that.

Never had a peep from my 06 Mustang GT though. Sold at 45k.

I must say, Fords have always been good to me.

2010 GT500 - three pistons melted.

2008 F350 - headgaskets and bent rod. Because it's a Powerstroke.

07 f150xlt 5.4 supercab.
Both rear leaf Springs broke at around 70000, diff pinion seal leaked at 22000, parking brake seizing up at 61000, battery at 24000, ac clutch replaced at 70000ish, God knows how many sets of pads and rotors...... chased a weird noise in the front end for awhile changed out hub, front driverside half shaft, 4x4 solenoid.
I USE the truck though and some of this irritated me but it's never left me stranded!!!! Even when the fuel pressure sending unit failed due to a poor design. The back was made of aluminum and up here in the salt belt all the road grime would lay on top of them and corrode them and cause em to short out.

Just turned 101k miles

Nothing has broken so far, except my Sync still has a mind of it's own sometimes. And the Takata airbag recall which I've yet to go in for

EDIT: Actually you know what, my driver's seat hasn't been able to move up or down since around 70k miles. I already have my seat in the perfect position so I never bothered to have it fixed

87 Ranger - Not sure this counts as a break, but it would not pass smog at 27k miles. This was my first vehicle and the guy my dad bought it from said it only had 20k when we bought it from him. I'm betting the odometer turned over at least twice as it was beat to shit. My dad bought it from him because it was almost free.

94 Ranger - Had it for 60k miles with 0 issues.
98 Ranger - Had it for 40k miles with 0 issues.
01 Mustang - Only had to replace fuel pump and had it for 30k miles.
04 Mach1 - I had two different spark plugs heilocoiled at different times after the engine spit them out. Had it for about 20k miles.
03 Cobra - Waterpump went out causing the head gasket to blow causing two cylinders to fry. After replacing the engine, I had to replace every pulley at least once as they must have rammed the engine against a wall pulley side out. They would never line up and always squeak. Had to replace the clutch linkage twice. Replaced the dash cluster. This car was cursed. I wish it wasent because I would still have it if it wasnt such a piece of shit. I'm guessing the first owner beat it to shit.
12 Mustang GT - 0 issues
13 F150 - 0 issues.
