So the State Trooper was really cool when he pulled me over.
We talked about my Cobra for about 5 minutes and he told me about his 01 Bullitt.
He was very interested in my tinted windshield...........LOL

HAHA looks good. I told my self I would never do it again after my first cobra. But then after selling that car and getting another one I had to have the polished exhaust again!

Thanks. I would do it with a power tool, but you couldn't pay me to do it by hand again, hah.

Amazing how adding new hardware really enhances the appearance of a mod like that. Looks good!

Added trunk mat this morning.

I really like that trunk mat. I'm assuming that the coloring I see in some of the letters is a reflection. They're all stainless steel, right?

Nice that the Trooper was cool with you. I had a local cop pull me over once, and he admitted he did it to check out my Cobra and see what mods it had. Come to find out, he used to work at the shop who had once done some transmission work for me, before he became a cop. ;)

Thanks Bob!

It's some kind of lexan with chrome backing.

Removed my black chrome steel bumper inserts for something a little more understated. Carbon fiber inserts.

Hcm's stuff I'm guessing? Be careful and mindful because if you saw what my stuff looks like only after a year and under covers you'd not have got them.

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't too happy with the reviews for HCM but I figured I'd give them a shot. Got any pics of your HCM pieces?

Curious as well, I had thoughts that I needed these for my DSG.

thats how they sent me my vent cowl
f83c0e06359877e3830089f445bcf0d6.png
and I don't have pictures of it since these were taken from a video I sent to them but the hood has defects that have worsened over time and there's multiple cracks on the hood too. When I emailed them about it they told me they did not care about the pieces and that I would have to buy new ones because they would not warranty the pieces. That's why I started talking to Rob the owner of carbon driven. He's a really stand up kind of guy. Like I know about HCM's full carbon terminator they are bastardizing and I'm sure it will have good quality stuff since that's the only place the good stuff goes with HCM.

Wow that's a shame and thank you again for the heads up and pics. Those pieces are totally unacceptable for the price they command.

I've done business with Rob from CD as well and he's a good man with quality items. If Rob had the bumper inserts i definitely would've gone with him but HCM seemed to be the only game in town if i wanted something other than just vinyl cf stickers.
