Very different CAI for the late model s197's. It also uses the factory intake from front. I'm sure most have seen this type on different makes and models (mostly GM and a few Dodge).

Another option is aspecific ram air box for Cervini's Ram Air hood. Cool!

Needs a flow through filter, with an open lid. All the air will hit the cap of that filter and just go crazy.

I tested that CAI a few years back on my 2012 GT.
Due to Maf vs throttle body placement part throttle drivability is poor. The Maf is so sensitive it picks up airflow fluctuations from throttle transitions.
I sent the CAI back after track only testing it and paid the restocking fees.

I thought about that. I know you can compensate for the MAF placement in the tract ( length ).The reversion issue is very hard to work around. Not worth the effort when proven designs work.
A large flat panel filter in a box sealed against a hood scoop would work though.
